Damn Jesse! Well if it's any consolation, the KBB value on a '88 vert is rather high from what I've been hearing. Ring 'em for all it's worth if you can.

Damn, Jesse, that's the worst luck. However, being t-boned in a vert RX7 and only getting a few scratches makes you pretty lucky, and hopefully you will turn a profit for your car from the insurance.

It's sad to the the new vert go, but I'm glad you're ok.

Greg, at LEAST twice a day I almost get sideswiped, and I'm not kidding. Jesse, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, but glad to know you're alright. These cars seem to be magnets for morons behind the wheel.

I'm back home now and I got to look at Freebie (that's what I'm calling the FB, and if I get a shell for the FC engine I got I'm going to call it Labor, haha), and I have some pics.

There is a small dent in the left front fender but it doesn't look bad, hardly noticeable with the bad paint, haha. That piece on the bottom under the front bumper is drooping but that should be easily fixable, there is some trim here and there that is bad (it's been sitting in the woods out in the country for a while now, I think the condition of this car is pretty great considering), and the interior is almost perfect. All the plastic is in top notch shape, the only REAL discrepancy I noted was the lid on the storage bin, it had a rip in the top. Dad said the driver's seat was torn on the bolster in the usual place but I couldn't even see it. It has the original stereo, original everything actually (it looks like anyway). The engine bay is kinda dirty but it needs work anyway so that will be taken care of in due time. Oh, and it's an '84 btw, so I'm not sure what model it is. I was hoping for a GSL-SE, but it's free so I don't really care, haha. I know the GSL-SE was more powerful, but were there any other differences?

The FC engine looks OK I guess. I obviously can't tell what it's like inside, but I'm assuming it's going to need a rebuild. It's been sitting for a while I understand. But as an FD owner I was sure to look at all the connections and they all look good and aren't brittle, HAHA.

I am very lucky i came out as well as i did, even though those arent just scratches. Those cuts were so intricate and complicated that i had to have them fixed by a plastic surgeon. They were very deep and I had a large opening before it was stiched up. I am very blessed that i didnt loose an eye. I looked at the car today and the whole drivers side is pretty much done for. 3 wheels are good for sure and one is iffy. the S5 tail lights are good and the interior is still good. The passenger side is still perfect.

Yeah I get cut off all the time in the 'Vert, sits so low and without the top up it's hard to see I guess. In the T2 I'm just plain paranoid at times with people screwing around.

I'd hate to see what the other guy looked like. Not that he got hurt in his van but after you crawled out of your bent and broken vert and whipped the guy within an inch of his life. Settle up well with the other guy's insurance company, he did have insurance?

Yes, Cars is on for Sunday. I need to find out who is going so that we can go to a theater that is close to everyone. I'll post up on Saturday and let everyone know at the Drive-In what is happening.

I bought a new JDM seat on ebay to replace my drivers side seat that has the rip and found a beautiful black S4 vert for sale. The bidding was at $1,000 then. It sure looked sweet and was located in Pennsylvania. Just if you're interested.

It would be an FC shell, but I'm in no hurry. I'm basically just hanging around waiting for someone to be giving one away, if it ever happens. If it comes time that I'm wanting to build the car then I might go ahead and put some money down, but my goal right now is to have two free RX-7s, haha, and have all three generations. If you have something in mind now it would be cool, but I don't really have a way to get it or have room for it right now anyway. Of course if the price was right like this one, I'd go ahead and get it, haha. Thanks.

I'm an idiot, I didn't realize Jesse had already posted pics, haha.

Yeah I don't know what's wrong with people. My Mom almost gets hit all the time and she has a freakin FORD TAURUS! It is white though, that may have something to do with it. It's only about 12 hours to home in IL/MO. It actually wasn't as bad a drive as I thought it was, it did go by pretty fast. My Mom and Dad are always telling me to slow down too, haha. Yeah the car definitely needs a bath. Dad said he's gonna do that and see if he can get it running but I told him I want to do all that. I'd like to make it a "Dragon" attack car, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be in NC for one thing, and I'd like to finish the FD first. Oh well, I'll keep in touch with you all and maybe move back after I retire or something, but it will be to Raleigh, not Fayette'nam, haha.
