ill run the R32 with my slipping clutch just to see where he stands. Im sure ill be on the loosing end of the deal but thats ok. Just want to see if they are really all that or not. I wonder if hell trade me his FMIC for my top mount and give me his boost controller to make things even....

Well, today i got back from my wedding. My wife and I had a fabulous wedding. Everything went very smooth and as planned. We ended up driving back. Last night we stayed in Gaitlenburg, about an hour from TOTD. The town was pretty awesome. Anyways, i was wondering if anybody wants to go down to TOT Db4 October. I will be heading off to school then and i won't have much time after that.

What other events do we have coming up? I have been out of the loop for a couple of weeks

welcome back married man! we have the GRR in early august. it was suppose to be out in the wake forest, but there is talk of moving it out to VIR. which might be cool, we could get a few laps in.

other than we are doing a cookout at the falls dam next weekend instead of the standard chargrill. speaking of which, bert, what do we need to get that to happan?

Do yourself a favor and buy a new radiator drain plug before you remove the old one.

The one on mine is made of very soft plastic that you get off with a screwdriver. Problem is, it strips easily. Any newer one you'd replace it with would be made to take off with your hand, much easier. I still need to do it on my FC, I stripped mine and haven't gotten under there to pull the old one out yet.

I am bringing the meats and bread, we'll need drinks, napkins and plates and utensils, ice, charcoal, tomatoes and lettuce. I think I have plenty of mustard and mayo and ketchup and pickles from the GRR. I'll post more in the next day or two and where we'll meet up. If we do it at one of the recreation areas on Falls Lake everyone will have to pay a few bucks to get into the area so I will also look at Blue Jay Point a Wake County park.

Also thinking about bringing some items for Eric as welcome home gifts since his car has not been run much in the last 6 months or so. Fuel Filter, Oil filter, things like that> More later . . . . .

Hey guys, I know haven't been on here in awhile since my 7's engine blew. But I just got her back yesterday and she's running great. Just wanted to give you all an update. Hopefully I can make it to a meet sometime in the near future.

damn, this forum was acting wierd yesterday.

guys, i dont think anyone is gonna see that GTR around town for now. he already blew his engine. kept turning up the boost, and it blew. so it will be out of commission for a while.

i saw the car. it was clean, but other than that I was unimpressed. it looks like a Maxima on roids during those years.

i got the charcoal and ice, Bert. When you say a few bucks how much are we talking? After all it looks like everyone is getting free chow.

should be pretty mean from a launch, but then again aren't all AWD cars. I dunno, I guess for that kind of money I would buy a new EVO VIII vs a 1989 Skyline. I suppose you dont get the exclusivity though.

welcome back to the world of rotary, Lauren.

oh and we will have to see if Eric can even make it. Right now his RX7 is not running. We think its been tracked down to some relays, but aren't 100% sure.

I found out that the skyline popped its motor. It seems one of my supra friends knows the guy. From what i understand he blew it the other day. It only had 100k on it. I thought those piston motors were reliable, hahaha. I shouldnt say that, now my motors gonna pop.

well obviously the dude isnt too smart. my understanding is he kept cranking the boost, that is why the engine blew.

damn, i must have still been drunk this morning when i posted. everyone, please ignore the fact that my post was kinda disjointed; try and coble it together into one cohesive post.

What is the time and location of this next meet. I am going to have to work i think but i should be able to make it out. I dont want to miss any more meets. I'm sure ya'll have started to worry about me. If somebody would like to go ahead and get some extra stuff for the cookout, i will be glad to pay them back. I just dont want anybody to have to wait on me if i dont get there till late...

Welcome back Lauren! Who ended up building the motor for you? Anykind of porting?

See ya'll on Saturday

July 9th Drive-In

Sorry, I've been off the web for a few days, but I did get the differential and tranny drained and new RP gear oil in both.

The cookout on Saturday is for Eric. If he is having car problems and won't be able to make the Drive-In then we'll postpone the cookout. If he is able to make it up we will have it at Beaver Dam Recreation Area on Falls Lake. It will cost $4.00 to get into the area but we'll have a picnic shelter and plenty of parking and a nice swimming beach for anyone that wants to cool off on Saturday. Like Josh said the food will be free so a few bucks to go swimming and eat and say welcome back to Eric shouldn't be too bad.

Everyone that comes bring some item for rotary, FD, maintenance, I'll bring the fuel filter, someone wants to bring an oil filter, K&N or Mazda OEM, spark plugs, car wash, any other things you might think of as welcome home and thanks for serving gifts. We'll start anytime after 5:00PM and if Eric isn't able to make it on Saturday we should know in plenty of time to reschedule the cookout for the 23rd. I'll let you know what I find out. If we postpone then we'll still have the Drive-In at the Char Grill on Saturday.

Thanks to everyone who volunteers to bring stuff for the cookout and to welcome Eric home.

Congrats, Lauren! Good to hear Lucy has gotten over her brief illness. Come out and see us sometime.

And... Happy Birthday!
