I got to race a guy on a Harley in 4th gear. I didnt even downshift and put about 3-4 car lengths on him by the time we let off. somewhere in the 50-100+ range
Speaking of races, i got into a race with a 5.0 mustang on the way home from VIR. We raced through 3rd and 4th. I couldnt believe i pulled on him in my NA car. It was great because the guy was driving like a complete A-hole. The best part was that his girl was in the car.

Hold on and I'll get a price. Tires-N-Parts said they'd sale it to members of the RRDI for $7 a qt. That's a dollar cheaper than their normal price. According to my Haynes manual you'll need right at 4 quarts to do the transmission and differential. So you're looking at around $30 to change the tranny and differential oil. Thats 75W90 right. They have 4 qts in stock and can get more for next day pickup.

Raleigh Rotary Drive-Ins happen the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month at 6:30 PM during daylight savings time and at 5:30 PM when we go back to standard time.

In fact we are having a drive-in this coming Saturday at the Char Grill on Strickland Road, north Rawly. We have some people going down to the NOPI-Rockingham event this Saturday, but those that don't will probably be at the Char Grill.

I'm not sure what you mean by your "stop light" but if its one of the idiot lights I'd check the fluid level of the reservoir or it could be a pressure issue in the brake system. If it is an idiot light then the signal is coming from a sensor, the brake system does have sensors that might be indicating a low fluid level, air in the system, a failing master or slave cylinder, or a leak somewhere that is causing a low pressure condition. You might also want to check the brake light switch for problems.

NOPI Rockingham Trip

Christina, thanks for taking the lead on the NOP excursion. It looks like y'all are going to have a good turnout and a lot of fun. That is the kind of thing we should be doing for some alternative activities. One person, anyone finds out about an event that interests them and steps up to lead a group and take responsibility for making it happen. You've done good and I applaud everyone that is planning on going down Saturday morning. I encourage those that have indicated that they're going to follow thru. Y'all have a great time and remember pictures!

Now i dont know if its just the Rx7 club, or rotary reliabilty but there are some LAZY people around here. i know that Josh, Rob and I were all going on about 0-3 hours of sleep and we made it before we had to leave. but anyway for me ranting heres some pics of the awesome drag cars.

now some damn kids were playing in the pits and the car was down for 3 hours because thier dang football got caught in the turbo inlet...damn kids

great pics barry. i actually didnt feel tired until about 5-10 minutes from home. i got home, showered, and crashed. i was asleep by 8pm!

from now on when RRDI organizes something and we set a time to leave, we are giving people 15minutes slack, and then they can find their own way. hey, wait a minute, i would probably get left behind more than half the time.

by the way barry, when on the way home did you hit the nitrous, cuz damn if you didnt dissappear on me somewhere around Cary.

im not sure if you noticed but i turned off at the ten-ten exit on US1. and yeah next non-chargrill meet we will be there at specific time you will need to be at the meeting point before we leave, and then there is 15 minutes of grace. after that your on your own. and then we will give directions for returning and people will leave on thier own or in a group depend on how peoples olans line up for that particular ordeal.

and greg, i could have swore i saw your twin brother there but i couldnt find another red S5 TII.

and i hope everyone is feeling better after riding behind josh's FD i think we all were about to pass out from the smell

hey guys for those of you that are interested i sent an email to the rockingham drag way people about renting the track out one night/day

"Depends on your event; we get $1500 for a private test up to fours cars, as much as $100,000 for a concert. There are some street drag nites where you can run for $15 or $20, check our schedule. Standard "club" rental is $250 per hour up to 15 cars, $25 for each additional car, up to 30 cars for an eight hour day, includes ambulance, insurance, computer operator, starter and ET Slip person. Have some Saturdays and Sundays available in August, two in July"

So anyone interested you have been informed and you know. because i was thinking we get alot of people to go one day and have a good rotary track day.
