Old guys with 12As club meeting
True, but those are the cats I mentioned before that you had, but didn't want. There's no reason to assume that motor's in bad shape prior to running some seafoam through it. You might see the compression jump up, and if so it's much more valuable and known to be half the mileage of your healthy engine. I'm just sayin - don't discount the quality of that engine just yet.
BTW, I think you can just pull one of the vacuum lines at the top of the front side of the throttle body, and it would make a perfect spot for the seafoam treatment.

By the way...picture time!!! In need of another vacuum and a good bath, but yeah..

Check that out.... maybe I will wait for this engine. Ray, better get calculating on what that would be worth at an OGTA meeting.

This 16X Renesis ought to be worth about 1/16th of a 12A if installed in a true sports car. Only about 1/32nd of a 12A if installed in a four door like the RX-8.
Unless they put it in an FB, in which case we will count it as one full 12A equivalent.
But it is pretty cool:

I remember reading about the 16x a while back on something. Aren't the exhust ports on the end and center plate things so it can rev high without exhaust gasses overlapping back into the intake or something. I dont know the 'proper' terminology... I just remember something like that.
So who wants to buy some convertible parts?
And Collin, why must you part the silver car in neutral with the ebrake up? Mr Cool

Man, those coolant ports are thin!
Think I found the problem of my street port idle. My TPS was a little out of spec. Also my MOP is not sending proper voltage. Any FD peole in OGTA territory have a used MOP pump?
I think I finally found my car!!! Its a 83 which is what I wanted, It just needs carb work & a starter, Its in decent shape other wise.....Im going to pick it up tomorrow...Who's got a trailer?
No. I believe it was an inefficient radiator flow. I flushed the system with some Prestone Super Flush and was on my way. Though I did get my hand caught on the motor mount as I was pulling out the block drain **** and uh...burned myself..
Yes, I do have you to thank for the suggestion of the Prestone stuff. I believe it made all the difference! Just FYI though they make a '10 minute' version. I saw the stuff you were talking about where it suggested about six hours worth of drive time before you drain the stuff back out of the system, but I didn't have six hours. :-P
