Old guys with 12As club meeting
And I just got another job about a week ago, and they've loaded me up with hours. And Tuesday I work 3-close
. Sorry OGTA! Smokey and I will see you soon...
No, I don't have the Rx2 any longer, I traded it for a nice Mitsu Starion, and a couple weeks later I traded the starion for a 12A powered Datsun 510. Then the 12a powered 510 turned into the purple 71 Celica, which was sold to build the Grey Corolla GTS (with blue wheels) and purchase the grey 77 Celica GT hatch. (All three of these cars were at the OSJC car meet. (Whew! what a history. This was in the last two years.)
I've got the under tray. Installing it tomorrow. T-Stat hopefully will get here early enough on Tuesday so I can install it and bleed the cooling system and PRAY that the problem is fixed!
Ray, If I put a 12a rotory in a 1959 Mercedes 180, and ran the exhaust out of the front fender, so that flames shot out across the door, would that count as an OG/TA car? What would it count as? LOL! Hopefully this winter we will get the engine into the body and start sorting out the brakes and electrical gremlins. It won't be fast, but it should be cool.

It was his old Celica, but I got the celica by trading Thomas's old white rotory 510 to a guy named ozzy for the Celica. Small world. huh? I wish I could have kept the purple 71 Celica. It was really nice.

Not like SEX sex, but hot damn that car is awesome. Let me know how that goes, and if you need help!!!
Stu
Dave, a '59 Mercedes 180 with a 12A and custom exhaust fits into the Old School Custom category and would be worth two 12A equivalents. Haven't seen one in quite awhile though.
Stu could you post the photos from your google? A little sex is always good for readership on the OG@TA thread.

I developed a soft spot for the Hindustan Ambassador while in India. It's basically a retooled and (now) EFI'd version of a Morris Oxford. Always thought it would be slick with a rotary swap.

Just got home. Great meet, guys!!
Stu, I saw you takin' pics of my car on I-85..you best post them! Also, that evil look should go to show your victory in escaping the scissors!

Ray we missed you. And where has Mike been. We might have to change the name of the club. I don't think any of the old guys made it tonight.
Thanks to Dave for taking his 3rd gen for a long drive today and Stu for riding shotgun. I hear these guys are not coming down to our meet again, unless we return the favor and visit a meet in NC. Dave we are waiting for the date of the meet.
Ray, Stu took pics for us. I'm so glad he came with the camera, because I don't think anyone else had a camera, other than the ones in their cell phones, and we know they don't turn out good. Stu got a pic of the new member, Andrew and his red SA ride.
Hmmm, the count, lets see there were:
2 SAs Andy and Andrew
1 SE Crit
1 FC Collin
2 FDs Dave and Jeremy
Riding shotgun - Stu
Driving pistons - Billy and Holly
So there you go 6 Rx-7s and 9 peeps. Ray you have to earn your keep, you get to post the official count.

That was a great meet
It's good to see you guys. The trip down and back was quite exciting, and catching up with people there was fun. The pictures will have to wait til tomorrow, or later today so to speak
Dave just dropped me off, now he has to drive another hour... POOR THANG!
