Inanimate object:

Scary as ****.

I don't want to commute into Atlanta anymore in my beloved LE because I don't want to get shot.

You Gun People need to get a grip.

Let's have some common sense gun laws.

If you would just slow down and stop driving like a bat out of hell Ray you won't get shot. On the other hand I can't blame you with that nice LE. Don't stop driving it!

Yeah I drove it into Atlanta today.

It's faster than a speeding bullet so I figured I don't have much to worry about.

You guys crack me up. Im liking Qingdao (is it Fred?) a whole lot more. Why does a picture of anybody bother anybody?!?! I thought you libs were all touchy feely types inclusive of lower forms of human life!?!? One thing is for sure.. the electorate is going to have a say on how things are going next go around. I dont think Chuck and Nancy are going to be all that happy. AOC seems to be the new look of the party. God help all of you. I yurn for the good ole days when i was a Lib and we only had “more government “ to wish for and when we were only guilty of being Bleeding Hearts. The border IS a crisis. Trump does not have to show his financials!! AND i like a non politician billionaire president way more than a career politician who becomes a billionaire. Nuff said...

Don't be fooled into thinking Trump isn't a politician. He is worce. He will do and say anything to try and make himself appear right regardless of the facts. Just look at his foreign policy regarding tariffs. He has no plan. The things he wants where already in the TPP that he walked away from. Instead of burning bridges. Liberals don't want more government, they want government that works for all people.

"To extract the best outcome from a trade deal with China, President Trump should rejoin the TPP (now the CPTPP). If instead of withdrawing, Trump had pushed Congress to quickly ratify the agreement, he could have then focused on expanding the membership to include the likes of South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia, which were all interested in joining. Such a trade deal would have placed significant additional pressure on China to reform. Why? Under TPP, shifting supply chains outside of China would have given companies preferential access to the US market. Moreover, the TPP already included the types of rules the United States is demanding from China — such as limits on operating state-owned enterprises and subsidies, and commitments to the free flow of data."

LOL^^ Its James btw.

Government that works for all people is a lofty goal and a good one. Unfortunately people differ on opinions so widely and desire different social norms for their areas that it makes it an unobtainable goal.

However, government that works for a smaller population IS a feasible solution. Say on a state to state size. Much like how our union of states operated prior to 1860 (only I wouldn't want that much British involvement). That way the population of say California could enjoy all the things that it would want within its boarders; the people of California could vote in laws and government to be best for them. Meanwhile people of South Carolina could vote/regulate how they see fit.

An example of government not fitting everyone would be like a hypothetical tax on water usage. Perfect for a dry state like Arizona, but less applicable in Washington. You can't have one big encompassing solution for all people.

There is a larger reason why I live where I live, because I don't have to worry greatly about voting. Yes laziness, but I know my neighbors feel the same as I do for the most part. So when time comes to vote they will make the same (or similar) decisions that I'd make. It would make it cumbersome for me to live in a state where I didn't agree with my neighbors ideologies.

As the nation gets more federally controlled I feel more and more like I'm living in California... I don't want to live in California because my norms and ideology is strongly apposed to those in that state.

So no universal government to make everyone happy is not gonna happen; its just gonna upset a lot of people. I think that's where the "divide" in this country is spawning from.

As a Liberal I can honestly say with sincere conviction that there's room on this good earth for all living things.

With one exception. Donald Trump. The extremely stable genius.

That's assuming he's actually a living thing and not some robotic automaton created by Evil Genius ConservoCons.

It's been fun watching Nancy Pelosi clean his clock these last few days. What a dip ****, he walked right into her trap.

Trump gives Conservatism a bad name, Conservatives may never recover from this one.

Like KC says, he has no plan beyond putting money in his own pocket.

Did you hear he's hiring his own construction company to build the Wall the Mexicans were going to pay for?

Using U.S. tax payer money? A conflict of interest maybe? Sufficient for jail time? I think so.

Now James, Government is not about making everyone happy and invading our freedoms.

Government is about maintaining civility and fair play in society while protecting our freedoms for the benefit of all Americans.

Not just the 1%.

So stop complaining, pay your taxes and appreciate how lucky we are to live in the greatest country on earth.

And please excuse Paul for thinking your name is Fred when we all know your name is James.

Paul, being a Trumpist, doesn't worry about facts, he just makes things up as he goes.

Like the new video of Nancy Pelosi slurring her speech while talking to Congress.

That old "Hillary has a brain tumor" trick never gets old.

Should I put a Racing Beat front sway bar in the LE along with the Eibach springs, tokico blues, slotted rotors and HPS pads?

At around $200 I'm not convinced it would be worth the money in improved handling, but I've heard good things.

Can you guys help persuade me it's worth doing?

Yes,do it! Putting those other goodies in the car that you list says you're going to "drive" the car. RB swaybar completes the rest of package you're installing and all these pieces complement each other and will make it worth the effort and expense. When installing the new bar, cycle the bar at what would be normal ride height.
Some cars need to have the bottom of inner fenderwell trimmed for clearance of the thicker bar. A fair number of people have found this after driving car and feeling weird handling quirks as suspension is being compressed.
Much easier to address before car is assembled than to have to take car apart and bar out to trim what's needed. Don't let this discourage you. I have put larger bars on several 1st gens, not all needed to have body trimmed for bar clearance. My current SE did. I think i may have pics of before/after.
Check once you have the pivot bushings/brackets installed so you can rotate bar by hand thru its complete cycle. Look at the attitude of oe bar before removing while weight of car is still on suspension, the bar with the car at rest will be about level.

That's what my good buddy Mark is saying Mike, the bar is the bomb on the track.

You're making me nervous with this shaving stuff though.

I don't think the Rotary Gods would cotton to me shaving any sheet metal off the LE.

Also Tim, Mike and Robert chimed in and each has a different set of suggestions.

So I've got lots of opinions but no consensus yet.

I think I need to do the Eibachs and Blues along with the slots and HPSs, but from what I hear the bar is the easiest of all.

So tell me what's wrong with this plan, do the suspension and brake work, including new bushings on the sway bars.

Then drive it and get some more opinions.

In the mean time I'll be looking for a nice used Racing Beat sway bar in good condition.

Anybody got one they want to sell or trade for some really nice "+" wheels?

But how do you feel about the rear swaybars?

I kinda like the roll. So I run a stock swaybar.

I do want to get a strut brace, but I fear that it will greatly impede my turbo plans. So no strut brace I suppose.

Not trying to be a boinger downer but I’ve been driving my new 11 year old MX 5 NC for a couple months now and I gotta say... it’s the most fun I’ve ever had in a sports car. On my third 7 and had plenty of drive time on them but this one just outshines them all. I knew these were special when I had the 97 Miata NA (w156k on it!!) a few years back but this one puts the biggest smile on my face. I’m fortunate to have one of each waiting in the garage.. but this MX-5 Touring model with sport suspension and LSD is getting all my driving attention nowadays. I can’t say enough about how Mazda totally understands the “drivers” needs behind the wheel. If any of you get a chance to push one hard, especially the NC or ND, do it knowing you just might have to have an alternate thrill wagon in the garage. The boys in da hood...

As well as a 2.5!! Yea I know, I know!! Got a guy at work tweeking my ears about that all the time.. but!! I really bought this for Cindy to drive even though I can’t resist the constant need to molest it myself. Like the Rx7-SE... it loves being pushed around!! I’d really love to have for me alone a 04-05 MAZDASPEED Miata with all the mods to the turbo/suspension. The instrument cluster white faces is really cool and and It’s on my wishlist for sure.

Miata's are nice, but boinger and nothing to brag about.

SE's are nice too, but no carb, no brag.

Nikki fueled SA's and FB's, something to brag about.

I thought the same Ray. But now I look forward to coming home from work each evening just to push button the roof back (11 seconds!!) and drive out the driveway with nowhere in mind to go except it must have curves!! I dare you to take a Nc or ND out for a test drive and keep a straight face when you park it. Somewhere along the line these got that “girly car” moniker ... it’s not fair. My face muscles get stuck on grin every time I flog this little beotch thru the gears..

I hear you Paul. Miata's will ruin you for life, they are so nice.

A girly car not.

Mike just got one himself, an '01 model with the works, British Racing Green, perfect.

He surprised me with it when we had lunch yesterday at the Hunan.

He insisted I drive it. I said no. But I did.

They are like heroin, you get addicted real fast.

You start showing symptoms, tightening of the face muscles is most common.

Still, a boinger is a boinger.

Would the Rotary Gods approve?

Did someone say boinger??

Wife approved!!

Miata's are ok. Like a low maintenance 7. My wife had one for years, but its so painfully slow. Needs turbo or something... or a rotary.

James I totally agree. Miata needs more ponies. BUT!! The fun factor is all there. And yes!! Ray they are like heroin. Addictive..! They make some really nice turbo units that get the ponies in the barn. It’s not unique like a Rotary.. not even that absolutely sublime and totally tasteful Ghia is unique... lol.. ok..... THAT is done perfect. Sits just right, color and paint job impeccable. you really hit a grand slam on that project. Ghia really knew how to design a perfectly timeless set of lines on any carriage.

Ray,done the large bar on FBs more than a dozen times. Most of them mine, couple for friends, customers. Not every one needed trimming for bar clearance, some did. Not a big deal.Just need to check for clearance,if you need to trim,be sure to use touch up paint so no bare metal for rust to take hold. As of now Rotary Gods have yet to smite me.

Every 1st gen i've had was a little different, some were better with rear bar connected, some not. A lot had to do with springs/shocks/ride height and tires...and whether had a stock bar on front.
My Se on pie mags with directional All season tires handles different regarding rear bar than when other wheels with stickies are mounted. Large bar on front, adjustable bar on rear, experimenting,i've learned what combination is best for what tires are fitted.
Only takes a couple minutes to adjust bar while switching sets of tires
