The only reason I'm selling it is because of school I can't work as much, therefore I just need the money for bills.
Wow, ad deleted. That sold fast. What were you asking again? How many miles did she have on the ODO?

Good Morning,

My Name is Mike I live in Atlanta, I have been huge fan of rotary's until about a year a go I had not had an opportunity to purchase one. I currently own an FC Turbo II in fairly stock form (BOV and A/F meter only) and A co-worker and I bought this FB, for the most part it is in great shape, Ill post some additional photos this evening. I look forward to meeting with you guys at the next meet up.

Do you guys ever do swap meets?
Anyone have a Holley 465 cfm forsale?

Mike, welcome. Can't go wrong with 1st gen in good condition.

Next meet will be Tuesday, Dec 1, at Taco Mac, Mall of GA. People start showing up between 6:30 and 7:00. We meet the first Tuesday of every month.

Never did a swap meet, but parts move around pretty well among the group. Someone probably has a carb for you.

Thank you! I really want to do Webers but right now I just want it running well, I am even looking at the Nikki to determine if I want to try and put that back on. The previous owner didnt want to diagnose the nikki so he (great guy btw) had a custom fabricated mount for a 600 CFM holley and as this thing is not ported it runs like absolute crap, so first thing we did was get the brake sorted next plan is to get the carb fixed and tires replaced.

Rebuild that nikki, the holley will just disappoint you. I'm not in ATL but I like to pretend I am.
I come down occasionally when I can. The OGTA claims a huge territory covering the world and
soon mars.

Welcome to the Club Michael, that's a nice looking FB you got there, Tornado Gray and even has the RWL, still cool even if they are rotting out. We look forward to checking it out.

And meeting you too, of course.

I tend to agree with Tim on the Nikki's, your best bet is probably to rebuild the one you have. If you need a Nikki intake manifold I can help you out there, I have several that are looking for a good home.

But to answer your question, I do happen to have a Holley sitting out in the parts pile, so I took some pictures. I got it in a trade with Carlos, not sure what size but my understanding is that it's right for a 12A. It's available for half the price of a good deal.

I agree. Keep the Nikki.

If it is more power you are looking for, look to the exhaust, a nice RB setup will really wake up a stock 12A. If you still need more after that then there are mods to be done to the Nikki for additional gains. Getting the Holly to work well can be a challenge. The Nikki was designed for the rotary's unique intake demands and will avoid a lot of head scratching. Tim is the local Nikki mod guy.

Like I said, parts move around pretty well with this group. Lots of good advise too.

Look forward to meeting you and seeing your car.

Like Tim said, OGTA claims a huge territory. We even let people from AL in.

Nikki's are really the best choice for an FB, the Rotary Gods intended it that way.

If you want to get fancy, you can always do a Felix-approved Farrell Nikki.

Holley's just suck gas, they have no soul.

Martin, I'll take the red interior parts, cash or trade!

Running on one rotor can happen:

1. If sitting for a long time (more than 2 weeks) an older engine will do this until the seals pop
into place.
2. Flooding, sometimes the rear rotor get flooded due to flapper valve issues or other reasons.
3. Loss of spark on the rotor due to wire or cap and rotor issues. Typically not a coil or ignitor if
one rotor is still getting spark.

4. loss of compression due to seal failure.

I take it your motor never got any better after I left? You might check the wiring to your coils, or swap coils with Cam and see if that changes anything. Could also be a clogged/dead primary injector. Worse case scenario, something internal to the engine, hopefully not though with it being a fresh rebuild. You can pull the 2 lower plugs, pull the EGI fuse, and turn the engine over a few times to verify even compression on all 6 faces.

I'm gonna try to run a compression test for her with my gauge Tuesday, if its not that may try swapping the coil packs to see if that helps, after that its looking into injectors and so on and so forth. I personally noticed a pinging sound originating from the rear rotor area near the header when I was there last week but that may have just been my ears.

Thanks Brett, I'll tell Cathy and the goats. Your avatar is really cool too.

You are coming up on your 10 Rotor in January, are you excited?

You know it! Hard to believe it's been 10 years... To think it all started with a ratty 220K mile FC with a screaming transmission.

I've been wrenching on the FD for the last month or so. Refreshed the fuel system, redid all the vacuum hoses, removed some emissions equipment, and made it look a little nicer under the hood. It runs and drives again and is fuel-leak free, but I'm having trouble finding and fixing a vacuum leak. On the plus side, I can have the intake off in under 5 minutes...
