Lol I wouldn't mind trying this taco Mac, though I don't know where it is.
Evo are you the one that was sitting beside my brother and I?
That is crazy how they all of the sudden charged cam and Erica for there refills and we didn't get the discount either, instead they added there own tip.

Normally at the Kilt, its really not a bad deal. The food is decent (unless you ask holly lol) they carry the alcohol I like (if they are in stock), and the waitresses are pretty decent (haha there's a joke to be had there) usually, plus I like when we get to play trivia.
Yeah no discount for us either, just a 18% tip add on.
Kev, how much did those pitchers of tea end up costing ya?

Holly, you need to be talking to those Shrinking Kilt people about the standard 10% OGTA discount we OGTAs are supposed to be getting.
It looks like the only thing they're discounting is our discount.
Plus, they're overcharging for the soft drinks, which they have a tendency to spill.
This needs to be fixed retroactively. So Holly tell that owner dude at the Quilt he needs to get this fixed or we're heading for the TexMex.
Martin, Cam and Kevin need to get full credit for a 10% deduction in their tabs for the 8-4-15 meeting, pronto.
Where is the LBW when you need her? She would never let this happen.

So was there ever an official count from last weeks meet? I'm at work so I don't have an excuse not to tally it up...
1 RE5 - Crit - 5 points
4 FBs - Erica, Mike S, Aaron, Kevin - 6 points, or 1.5 each
3 FCs - Cameron, Seth, Fred - 3 points, or 1 each
4 FDs - Jeremy, Alex, Ryan, Martin - 2.67 points, or .66 each
4 FEs - Holly, Tommy, Aaron, Aarons friend - 1 point, or .25 each
17.66 12A equivalents. How's that?

Quick reminder, tomorrow is DND at Johns Creek Taco Mac around 8:15pm. All OGTA members are more than welcome to attend, especially if I didnt have the luxury of seeing you last week at OGTA!
You had to be there Tim. From a certain angle the kid kind of looks like a rotor. Worth 3 12A points at least.
The LBW looks more like a V8, definitely no 12A points there.

So I finally switched the leading ignition back to the original coil.
The car started fine but after just a few minutes, the leading ignition quit working.
I guess I need to change out the leading ignitor.
Which one it is? The one farthest from the vacuum advances, or the one closest?
Are the leading and trailing ignitors different?
Does anybody have some I could purchase?
Thanks for the help.
PS: Ray that is a great pic. Crit congratulations!

Need some ignition system diagnosis help.
My 85 FB has the Ray Green 2nd gen direct fire coil leading ignition system upgrade.
Everything functions fine when I start the car. Over the last several months, I notice that anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes later, the car suddenly looses power. It still runs fine, but has noticably less power. I thought it was carburator related (RB Dellorto) as it seems to happen more as the weather warms. But this weekend, I checked the ignition with my timing light and found that the leading ignition was not working.
So, what does the group think...ignitor or 2-nd gen coil?
As a side note, my son asked what the "photon pistol" on the work bench was. I guess it has been a long time since I had my timing light out.

i just had trailing go out on mine. originally thought coil when the tach quit working. can't remember which one, i just removed the cap and looked for T and L. if it's clean enough in there, u'll see them.
An easy way to test if it's the leading igniter you can just switch the igniter connectors where they plug into the dizzy.
If the leading is bad, it's now the trailing and it won't matter and the trailing, which is now your leading, should work fine and the car should run normally.
If so, you will need to replace the leading igniter.
The leading igniter is the one that is attached via the coil wire to the rear coil in the stock coil mount and the trailing igniter attaches to the coil in front.
Both igntiers are the same (J9's, they're called) and yes I can spare one.

I did my first mountain drive in the FD today, and it was awesome...
Not sure if I posted or not but I finally got the turbo problem fixed so the car's running like the rotary gods intended. Next steps are to install the Power FC computer, the cat I got from Jeremy, and the suspension I got from Alex. Thanks again guys.

Here it is hot linked, for you lazy folks. And yes, it does smell like a rat.
RX-7 - MUST SEE!!!
Tim, vintage FB's, like fine wine, take time. The White One III is coming along fine, you will be pleased.
Anyone going over to Mike's on Saturday to help him install his new strut towers?
