Yup, Its a 1979 Yamaha XS 400 converted in to a cafe racer. It rides great and makes good power. I'm used to riding sport bikes so its going to take some time to get used to it.
Ray I could jump to the horn button but I'm trying to keep this one as simple as I can. I'm pretty sure it's the horn relay switch but I can't seem to locate it. I want to get this gsl se on the road because my 79 isn't roadworthy. I've been hearing odd sounds from the right rear and found a nice big hole where everything is bolted to the wheelwell from the inside. Is that ever repairable? The hole i mean.

Sounds like your SE has a bit of NY body rot BT. Post pics and we can confirm.

By the way, guys, I ran into a guy named Jorge in Sugar Hill. He has a bone stock, beautiful GSL-SE that's been resprayed, but had no idea we existed. With any luck, he'll be there for the next OGTA.
If Tim, Kevin and this new guy show up, it could be quite a meeting.
Surely Tim will let me drive the Lotus this time.
Hey Crit, why don't you have you're 10 Rotor yet. Did you do something to **** off the mods?

Wrong Tim, Ray. The last time you probably saw Tim Benton was at Zoom Fest at Road Atlanta. Tim is from Cedartown and you probably saw his FD.
When is the wedding Kevin? The Lake meeting is the 28th. You could lead the drive there and get us lost again.

You're right Ray, this does have me written all over it. Unfortunately for me, my daughter got engaged and I am now paying for a wedding ($$$$$) and my refrigerator died (those suckers got expensive in the last 15 years). So I better look the other way.
Besides, I better do something with all the motor parts I'm collecting first. Ray, save up all your influence with the rotary gods. I am counting on you to make the proper offerings for good rotors and housings when we crack open the motor I bought.

Oh yeah its good old NYS rot, I had no choice but to drive it for a winter a few years back. Believe it or not, with snow tires on the rear it was one of the best cars I've driven in the snow. With the back axle only a foot or two behind the seats there is no need to throw sand in the back. Now I need unibody repair in a critical spot. Till that gets done I needed an RX7 to drive in the summer so i grabbed a gsl-se and now cant register it because it has no working horn. If I can locate the Horn relay switch I think all will be well. Help please, its just sitting here wanting to be driven.
What kind of beer should I bring Mike?
Don't worry, I'll deal with the Rotary Gods.
I have it on higher authority that there's at least on decent housing, maybe a good rotor and probably a useful eshaft in that unit.
Well worth the party.

Oh yeah!!! We have to have this for the lake house meet. What possibly go wrong with 100 mph golf cart?
Greetings
Salutations and best wishes!
I'll be coming up to Jefferson, (Ray's house), to pick up the Ghost. I'll be making the trip on June 1st and Ray asked me to post and make you guys aware of some of the parts that I have and can bring with me.
Not much, just a few parts I collected through the years and don't want to just throw away. I'm not looking to make much out of them, just want them to be recycle back onto another car. I am in need of a few minor things but will like to make enough to pay for the trip.
Additionally, been looking towards meeting some of you OGTAs.
Here is the layout, if you are in need of something that you do not see, ask me and I'll look to see if I have it.
Non SE tranny
Racing Beat Prima Flow muffler
3 sets of door windows, (one tinted)
4 spokes clutch
Hella oval lights, (never mounted)
83 and earlier burgundy and tan pieces
points distributor
Chromed alternator (needs rebuild)
2nd oil cooler
single belt alternator and main aluminum pulleys
84-85 radio parts
84-85 brown dash pieces
79-80 mirrors
mazda tools pouch
Autometer Sport Comp Tach
Autometer large electrical gauges
82-83 AC lines (new)
12A core engine (rebuildable) may take apart prior to that day to make sure is got good internals
I know this is mainly a 12A section, nut I also have a freshly rebuild 2nd gen 13B sitting around.
Some of the things I can use, (wish list):
Glass sunroof
84-85 radio surround
Tokiko struts
