What Tim isn't telling you is that he has a bunch of batteries stored in the storage compartments and when it wants a few extra mpg's he toggles the batteries to the efans to pull him forward like a prop plane. Then he plugs in at night to recharge the batteries. It's an old efan trick.

Billy, I think the generally accepted operational definition of "old school" is that it has a carb. But Crit gets a waver.

No need to Crit. Before I added the 2GDFIS and the efan I was getting ~22 mpg. When I added the 2GDFIS I gain 1 or 2 mpg. Then when I added the electric fan I got another 1 or 2 mpg bump. Which took me ~22 mpg to ~25mpg, a solid 3 mpg improvement but it varies some depending on my right foot

Now I could reverse all that but who has the time and see if it puts me back to 22 but who has the time? Not me.

Note: All my mileage figures are doing 3500 to 4000 rpms in 5th gear mostly (~75 to 80 mph). If I went 60 mph I'm sure I would be close to 30 mpg.

That is the same as my background at the shop

Does this mean you are selling the FC in favor of a first gen?

Hey, since that photo is starting to make its way around the internet we had better be sure to keep the credits straight. Stu shot Billy's slightly modified FB at Crit's June Lake House OGTA meeting, that guy's good with a camera.

So Stu, where's the rest of those videos?!

I am taking off on an 11 day vacation, visiting family up and down the east coast, in the morning.

You guys keep an eye on Ray while I'm away. I am little worried about him sharing beer with goats. Who knows what might happen if he gets them drunk.

Yeah right! Once I get a real job, which better be soon, I'm gonna look into another rotary for sure. I'd like a 2nd gen so I can just swap parts from one to another when something goes bad, but first gens are growing on me Who knows...

and why's only one headlight up in that pic anyways?

If so, hopefully he'll break out his camera and record some of it for us to laugh at

Mike I'm more worried about you on vacation than my goats on beer. At least they're fenced in.

Did anybody stay up last night and watch the Celtics overcome a 24 point lead by the Lakers in LA? Biggest comeback in NBA playoff history. Love those Celtics and I felt sorry for the Lakers. Show Time vs Real Time and Real Time won!

Not much ticking on RX&club.com these days, anybody still driving their cars? The White One is back to her old ways, nothing but trouble free and fun miles, mile after mile after mile.

And Brett, this one's for you, keep you busy till you get that FC back on the road:

Have a good vacation you guys!

Sure, Zip them to an archive and upload it!

I am an idiot, I could have uploaded the large pictures before, if I just saved half to one folder and the other half to another...

Loading pictures now. Ray, I promise I will have more videos up soon!

Ray, I saw you in traffic yesterday morning (Thursday) around 8:30AM, up along the Pleasant Hill access before merging onto I-85. I rolled up beside you, once you changed to the right lane, then ended up passing you. I beep the horn while I was beside you, but you did not see me, unless it was after I passed. Traffic was really heavy yesterday morning.

Brett, Billy has manual pop ups on his car. You physically have to get out of the car pop the hood and prop the headlight up, almost like a hood prop. Pretty cool, then they lock down too. Billy was probably just showing someone how it worked and left one side up or down, whichever.

Holly

Holly I'm not sure what I was doing on the Pleasant Hill access road unless maybe I was looking for a way around the traffic, is that the long set of access roads that bypass the 316 merge? Now I remember, that's when I was bailing off 85 to head over to Satellite Blvd to take that down to Indian Trail and get back on 85, always a good move when 85 backs up.

On the way home today (Friday) there was a black RX-8 trying to tail me from around Indian Trail up to the 316 merge but that lunker just doesn't have the mobility needed to keep up with an FB. And yeah, you are right, I change lanes a lot.

Especially headed out of Atlanta on a Friday afternoon with all those out-of-staters creating mega real estate on the highway. Where did those people get there licenses?!! I can just hear the driver in the minivan yacking on the phone ... "yeah the traffic was really heavy but then I worked my way over into this left hand lane and things cleared right up..."

Stu I downloaded the file but when I open it up it's just a bunch of text written in some kind of foreign language. Looking forward to your artistry! You too Zach!

Brett, I think Billy was just winking at you, kind of like saying "someday you'll own an FB".

After the way things went today, who knows. My radiator's been leaking a bit lately because it's old and starting to crack across the top. I didn't think to check it before I left for work. I drove there, and when I was about 10 mins away the temp gauge was resting a bit above half, and was on a rise (I recently installed another gauge cluster and I was thinking it read a little hotter than it was... idk why). So I turned the car off and coasted a couple of times, and turned it off at stoplights until I got to work. Then before I left work around 2 I filled it back up and headed towards home. 5 mins later it was running hot yet again, and so I did the thing I mentioned above until I got home. The gauge went a little higher this time, but I knew it had water/ coolant in the system because I had just filled it up, right? Wrong. The bottom of the radiator had started leaking. But I didnt see that until I got home.

So now I'm debating if I should go get the ramps out and drain my oil to check for coolant... Pray :-/
