Man, this is a sweet engine bay that the person spent a LOT of time on, and we are nit-picking him to DEATH!

We'd love to see that new car before you sell it Crit, can you bring it to the March 3rd meeting?
Tim you have a strange sense of humor.
Chris you are going to drive those XRoads guys crazy with all those posts, you know they need to come up with something every time we make a post. This kind of looks like your white one did a few months ago, doesn't it?

Search craigslist, and you'll find that he wants $16,000 for it. He's renewed his ad for months, never changing the price or the text.

REPU fetish
Did you guys already cover this one.

Ray, $1300 and all you have to do is rip out that V8, buy Crits 2nd SE, and swap in the 13B (of course with a Niki) and you are good to go... Think about.

That's a sad looking REPU Mike, it has no soul. It's got an autocraptic transmission, its hubs have been drilled for GM rims and that V8 transplant is a mortal sin. It would be easier to rehabilitate Stu than rehab that blue REPU Frankenstein.
With good REPUs going for $16,000, the fact that that blue one is having trouble fetching $1,600 says alot about V8 transplants.
Crit's got some nice one's lined up there but Jeez, they're expensive!

Ok, I have another buddy who is looking for an FB (or maybe a Miata or MR2, but prefers a rotary). His budget is like $2500, but he is going to require Billy's rack and peanut kit, so that needs to be factored in to cost. But still, that should land him a fairly decent 1st gen. Pre-84 I guess (or whatever is needed to not worry about emissions now). Anyone got anything out there?

For 2009 registrations, all 1985 to 2006 models have to have emissions. That exempts all 84s. For those that have an early birthday, they're actually purchasing a 2010 registration, which puts early birds into 85 cars without emissions.

well, it looks like the car the my jealous SE smashed about 2 years ago (which happens to be a very nice ferarri yellow FD, lol) has since been turned into a show car and is now for sale. i'll post some pictures. i'm sure you guys have seen it on craigslist. well, you know it's a small world when a 1st gen hits a third gen. haha

We better hurry up and get a trip planned to NC before he buys an F150 or something.
Haha Ray, I like to think mine was a little nicer than that bay, but it was pretty messed up. Anyway, I sefoamed the car:

What Tim left out is I'd like it to be fairly reliable, not requiring a ton of work to get it moving (unless the price is dirt cheap). I want it as a DD for ~4days out of the week...basically the days that I don't have to pick up my daughter from day care.
oh, and as i live in an emissions county, it needs to either pass emissions or be exempt

so, if anyone has any leads, i'd love to know about them.
Ill sell my 85 for 2k, its a non sunroof but I just did a complete tune up, (fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor&cap) new goodyears, the interior is mint, it passed emissions in october of last year,AC works, and it has a nice CD player & speakers. I also have the 83 GSL thats included in that price for the LSD swap, Im not looking to sell, but someone comes at me w/ 2 grand they can have it. Im bringing it to the March 3 meet
might be able to make a weekend meet, or pics are good too. Tim and Crit would be good proxy pre-evaluators for me
