Those seats look to be out of a Maxipad Mr. B. No way that's an LE. Or if it was, it's not no more.

Looking at the "L'MAZDA" logo on the front bezel, it's looks to be a French import. Probably one of those GSL survivors that came down from Quebec in the early '90's.

Any of you dudes ever listen to Petula Clark's stuff? She was ahead of her time for sure. Check out the rides in her video:

excellent ray. glad u found the RB system worthy enough to order a second time. altho swapping back to stock on the 7 u sold would have saved u that money and probably still gotten what u did for the car.

btw, i put in for next meet off. hopefully i'm within they're 2 week notice and they let me have it off.

Be good to see you Michael!

Yeah the RB system is the heart of the car (the nikki is the lungs, the rat's nest is the brain and the 12A is the muscles). It's going to look so pretty I won't want to drive it to avoid getting the header tarnished.

I've located some pretty good looking rotor housings on ebay, the seller has gotten a lot of flak on this forum but it's hard to tell how much is deserved and how much is created. Can any of you OGTA's give me any feedback on these?:

Also here's a real nice looking "Old School" 12A housing, is it possible to build a 12A using one Old School housing and one New School Housing?

hey ray, just be careful w/ the ebay listing for Rotary Shack...i would request a pic of the specific housing you are bidding on.

as for the other item on ebay, if you do want it, get it from the user on this forum...$100 versus $135 (not sure if same housing but cheaper here and looks good) : https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...-mint-1011450/

Ray, you are way out of my depth. I can't offer any advice on rotor housings. Are you working with the guys a MazMart? If not, they may have a good 12A housing.

I was thinking the same thing Fred, no matter who the vender is, I'd still need some good photos of the actual housings. I contacted RS yesterday and asked for photos of an actual pair plus shipping and they responded this morning and said they'd send photos later today, so that's a good sign, we'll see what they have.

And I think you are right, that old school housing on ebay is the same one listed on "that" forum. If it would work, the old school unit would be pretty cool to have, with that red tag and all. It's in great shape and a great deal at $100 on "that" forum. Anybody ever seen an Old School/New School 12A?

Mike, Paul and Rick are checking their supplies, but I don't know yet if they have anything that could be used. I'll check with them later today and have them look at the ebay items if I get the RS photos early enough.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yummy. If it has a good rotor housing in it Alex, I'll give you $100. Plus all the rest of the parts.

If both housings are good, we can go into business.

When should I stop by?

Mr. Tim, it's probably time for your Buddy to upgrade to a BeeHive Oil Cooler, don't you think? Those BHOC's are much more efficient and they don't leak nearly as much.

If so, I can help you guys out, I have three or four in the shed

Such a deal, don't have to do that 285 traffic. Would Monday after work work? That would save me a trip into Atlanta.

I'll take the Protege5 into town, she's our 12A mule these days.

Looks like a sweet unit:

Need any red leather seats or 1st gen RX-7 manuals or coffee table books or anything like that?

Dudes, don't forget to mark your calendars for the October 2012 OGTA meeting

i'll be there ray. as for the rotor housings, if ur going to use new get 2. now if u can get some old school housings in really good shape that would be great cause they would have the same large framed "MAZDA" script like my 13b housings.

btw, i picked up another fb(83 gsl) last weekend. rode thru a neighborhood and there it was sitting under some pine trees. been sitting for like 4 yrs so currently not running but i have hope that it will. bought a battery for it before work today as the one that was in it wasn't any good. when i turned it by hand there was no compression on the rear rotor. been sitting since then with some atf in it. after getting the battery in it i spun it with the starter and sounds now like it just might start. idiot lights dont work. turned the headlight on and they work but didn't go back down. the worst part i found so far is the rear driver seat mount on the tunnel is rusted thru. i'll get pix up this weekend. and i'll give u one guess as to the color.

Post up some pics Michael!

Alex I gotta say you've got interesting tastes, you don't see many of those purple RHD's anymore, especially the ones with the swallow tails

Dudes, I know it is impolite to talk about politics down here in Georgia, but I just gotta share with you how difficult it is being a Democrat around here.

I mean, even the deer desecrate our political signs.

don't know why the pix didn't show in that post. so here's those again plus what i took today. i was really surprised how well it cleaned up. still has alot of clear peeling off. i swapped the holley in it instead of working with that dual weber setup cause i know it would work without needing to clean and build the webers. runs great just need to spray some carb cleaner thru the holley cause it has been sitting a while so the idle circuit seems to have some blockage cause idles on just one rotor. but revs up fine. well on with the pix.

Michael that RE DCD dual weber intake is worth whatever you paid for that car. With that rust
I'd be thinking part it out or parts car for the other car.

Hows the bin area and rear mount points for the rear links for rust?

Very pretty Michael. I guessed the color correctly but wouldn't have imagined those pinstripes, they look pretty good.

I hope you can save it, but if you go the part out route I'd be interested in those door panels if they'll fit an 84/85 GSL.

I visited Alex yesterday and picked up my new 12A. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet but maybe this afternoon. Nothing is quite as exciting as cracking open a 12A.

bin areas/wheel wells aren't rusty. the only main issue is under that seat. i'll probably patch up those holes and por15 all the rust areas. wont part it but probably resell later one. the goal right now is to get it back up and driving again. have to put tires on it as i don't trust these for any long distance travel as they r kinda dry rotted. yeah ray, that was kind of a hint when i ask u bout guessing the color. tim i don't that's a $600 carb setup in the condition they're in right now. i figure the spotty clear coat peeling is from what sun got thru the trees.
