Robert, does it look like this? If so, it's the dreaded 30 lb. SA flywheel, good for boat anchors only!

Thanks for looking, I just found out this evening I have a nice 82 unit with matching counterweight headed down here from Madison WI.

Sgt. Stinkfist is sending it, one of those nice lightweight 23 pounders and it's already been machined. I'm going to name my first 12A build Lucy.

Fred, I didn't even realize 2013 is sneaking up on us. From what I hear, the world is going to end soon, something about the Mayans or something like that, so let's wait and see.

Robert, there's people asking for more pics of your white SA on the Dec OGTA pics post, I'll comply later on today.

Somebody said you have a 13B in there, but as I recall you have the more desirable 12A, right?

Mike, I noticed Chad has the GS rear hatch glass you need, here's the link:

I am embarrassed to admit that it is a 13B, however I am on the cusp of a 12a 1/2 bridge build, so maby I am somewhat redeemed?

If the world does not end on 12/21/12, we should celebrate on 1/1/13 with an OGTA meet.

OK, I've got some good news. I just read this on CNN so it must be true:

NASA Science prepares for the not-end of the world – Light Years - CNN.com Blogs

Since the world isn't going to end on December 21st, it looks like the 1-1-13 OGTA meeting is happening after all.

Now I suppose I need to make a calendar for next year.

Ray,

Not so fast,

Are you so gullable that you will take the unproven word of a scientist without question?

Sometimes they are so entrenched in their narrow paradigms that they cannot appreciate, even briefly, how little they may really know!!

The Mayan's ideas are so much more well seasoned than these new fangled NASAs scientist that I think we should consider waiting until the 22nd to make plans!!!!

Mike, in Mayan culture the boar's head is associated with the heavens and the movement of the sun. It's your job dude.

My green earrings are actually hearing aids, which were first invented by the Mayans in 313.

The rotor on Crit's head is a symbol of exceptionally clear thinking. That is why most gazes follow his.

Except Billy, who looks to a different horizon. The Dark Side, some say. The monkey in his lap is a REPU.

Gene's head dress is adorned with a reclining SA goddess, symbol of fertility and rebirth.

I'll explain the dangling ear rings at the next OGTA meeting.

Merry Christmas OGTA.

I am headed to the beach tomorrow and won't be back until the 26th. Just wanted to get this out so I don't miss it.

Be sure to put on lots of sunscreen Mike.

Dean, don't hit any reindeer, OK?

Crit and Billy, hope you guys get a chance to work on the REPU.

Gene I need to ask you about counterweights.

Holly it must be nice to have a name that is so popular during the holidays. (Holly Days. Get it?)

Tommy, 2013 could be the year you finally move over to the Bright Side. I see an FB in your future.

Greg the Younger, are you ever coming back from Saudi Arabia?

Greg the Elder, are you ever coming back from Lilburn?

Jeremy, does the FD start in the winter?

Tim, fan clutches really are better than efans. This will become obvious to all in 2013.

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year OGTAs!

PS, Robert, you gonna get that 12A installed in the white SA this year? Time to take it to a higher level, don't you think?

Wow, I was about to post about how over priced those were, then I checked on another set that I have been following on e-bay that were alot rougher than these. They sold for $810.00!!!! Way more than the 4 to 5 hundred I would have valued them at. I would value these at about 5 to 6 hundred. They look to be in good shape.

The way I see it, I could buy three decent FB's for $900.

Three more 12A's to tear down, parts galore and maybe a rolling chassis that can be brought back to life. Duh???

Also, it's hard to get the iconic stock blue air box to fit on those webers.

Give me a Nikki any day.

Just requires a little ingenuity and skill

Billy made it happen on the Respeed wideboy.

True that. Experience, aka old age, goes a long way

That's not how it works, Mike. It goes experienced, to more experienced, to really experienced, to who am I? I'd say you're in the more experienced category...that is, if you can still remember who you are, at least most of the time.
