So maybe I'll buy my 8th RX7 this week. An S5 FC at that, too...
I need a driver side seat. And a few other things...

Here she is, I picked it up last night in Suches, about 20 miles away from me. I've actually driven right past the street it was on a while ago. For $400, it's an 1989 RX7 GTU (base model) that was once red, now flat black. It has a black interior that needs severe cleaning but is in pretty good shape. One of the coolant seals let go and I'm pretty sure the motor is seized. It even came with a tow bar installed so I could easily drag it back home through the mountains...

I'm more than likely parting it out as: (1) I don't need another project right now, (2) My FC really needs it's driveshaft, (3) I can use it to complete the black interior and S5 conversion on my FC (4) I need the money since I spent the Maxima engine fund on this...

Came with it's own tow bar? That's like a fish swimming around with a hook in it's mouth looking for line to tie on to.

Nice catch.

How are the seats in this bad boy?

A tow bar is a nice accessory to have on an FC.

I know, the guy didn't want it back either. So now I've got my own legal towing method and can use it to scoop up FC's rather than borrowing or renting a tow dolly... It even came with trailer lights!

The interior needs work, it's been sitting for around a year and something leaked, so the seats along with everything else has a green haze to it. Maybe one evening this week or this weekend I can clean it up a bit and see what kind of condition everything is in.

It actually pulled and turned the car pretty well... I mean... The 6.3L boat of a Silverado forced it around quite nicely

Yeah, those FCs seem to need towing a lot more than trusty 1st gens

Might come in handy for FEs when they blow their engines too!

Who didn't I insult yet?

You could take a shot at the FD crowd, while you are at it.

Well when i had my 12a it tore up in a daily basis, my 13B has been extreamly reliable.

only went out on me once, but that was my fault. Has ICE COLD A/C, Power Steering and handels better..

I just like the old Classic look of a 12a

I've started tearing apart the parts car, an '84 GSL automatic. I'm hoping to get a rear axle swap completed before Oct 27th! I even built new shelves in the pole barn to handle the new "clutter". I enlisted the troops to help me carry parts.

They were thrilled, nevermind the look on their faces. Anybody need anything let me know. The car is complete & not wrecked - only missing a driver's side fender.

BTW, I had somebody message me about selling them the ash tray and dome light cover. I told them to name their price, but they asked me after plenty of pictures etc, " How much?". I haven't a clue! I'm not really interested in pissing somebody off, but . . . $20 including shipping sound like too much?

Finally making some progress with the SA! Got the wiring cleaned up from all of the work I have been doing, gave it a bath, and most importantly, drove it! Hit up a local car show and got a lot of motivation to make it more DDable. Still having overcharging issues with my alternator, but at least it's consistently holding at 16A now. So, I can't DD it until that is addressed, and new tie rods with an alignment, and having some functioning gauges and e-brake would be nice too. One step closer though!

Worth 3.5 12A's at an OGTA meeting. And you could always crank it up another 0.5 points with some SkyActiv technology....

Ray - School and ROTC start full force next week, and I have my Fluid Dynamics lab until 8:30 every Tuesday. So, unfortunately I won't be able to make it to any OGTA meets for a while. Although, I have been talking to some locals about doing a meet this way. So, I hope to get that going soon. Hopefully after I get into the groove this semester. If it isn't too life consuming. So the OGTA guys will have to venture out this way if/when this happens.

To all the local Atlanta rotorheads: If you are available this evening and want a pass to an elite meet, you must go to the Mazmart facebook page and like it. Something rare that you will not want to miss.

Fred, I think Paul will just give you a pass, counting you as Marco's girlfriend.
See you later.
