You guys have good meet. I won't be there tonight. Maybe next month. Michelle is working her way through the bone marrow transplant side effects. This is the roughest week.

I think I see The White One Deux in Ray's future - maybe tonight...

Hang in there you guys, we are dedicating this June OGTA meeting to Michelle and her recovery.

The Rotary Gods are watching over us, the Venus transit is a Sign.

I guess I should have read the entire page...we did FINALLY move the meet elsewere. I hope this place doesn't have shitty food and flat beer.

I will be there at around 7pm or so. I will be in the boinger again...the 7 needs u-joints. The last time I drove it up there it vibrated like hell at any speed over 60. Smoothed out a bit more over 80 though. HAHA. Not taking a chance on breakin the joint and causing a lot of damage.

6-5-12 12A count

4 FB's = 4 12A's (Ray, Greg (the younger), Seth, Greg (the elder))
1 FC = .75 12A's (Kristy)
1 FD = .333 12A's (Jeremy)
4 FE's - .5 12A's (Tommy, Holly, Max, Louise)

4 Boingers = 0 12A's (Crit, Billy, Zach, Cathy)

Total 12A count = 5.583

Nice Work Kristy!! I have just one question.

How is it possible that Jeremy's pristine FD is worth only 0.333 points? On the basis of being a rotary powered, fuel-injected vehicle it should be worth 0.5 points, like the FC's.

And I'd give it another 0.5 12A's on the basis of coolness alone, making it worth a full 1.0 12A equivalent. Don't you think?

And didn't we decide that boingers drive by card carrying rotorheads were going to be worth 0.5 12's, to give proper credit in that department?

Also I think Flipper should be worth at least 0.75 12's, on the basis of his Skyactive technology and because he looks just like a dolphin.

Robert and Tim, we wish you guys lived closer too. We could use some nicely done SA's to spice the place up a bit.

Please keep us updated with Michelle Mike, we're thinking good things for her.

Ray, your new point system has not sunk in for anyone but you. So Kristy will post the 12A count with the numbers everyone has finally figured out how to count, and you can re-post the updated count.

So, what is the final count with your new system Ray?

It's a couple pages back Dudess. Everybody agreed to it (including you), so now the new system is in full effect for all future OGTA meetings.

In fact, that's why you and the rest of the SE's got 0.5 12A's each this time around, according to Kristy's accounting.

Kristy needs to do some research though on the other stuff, it's in the archives somewhere.

I poked around and couldn't find it, but I know it's there someplace and for sure boingers get some credit for showing up, so do fuel injected rotaries.

So I figure my system probably adds 2 or 3 points to the 12A count, at least. Even more, if we count Flipper's exotic features.

You see. It's all about history.

Check this out Dudes. Venus did cross the Sun last night, just like Sir Edmond Haley said she would:

It is possible because I took the count, calculated it, and posted it.

Why are all of you old guys getting rid of your first gens? Did you discover the glory of FC's or something?

Sorry I couldn't come out- I was down Monday for Kristy's birthday. I can only come down out of the woods once a week...

Speaking of not coming out... I did move back to Vermont...

In a nutshell, the Z blew her engine halfway to Vermont... My dad came down with his truck and we rented an auto transport to tow the car from Winchester, VA to Vermont. I sold the Z to a friend of a friend, and picked up an '87 GXL from my friend Darren in Stowe, VT. The car is from Florida, lived in Mass and New York for a bit (Doesn't appear to have ever been winter driven), and Darren bought it for a summer car a few years ago.

She's ugly (primer), but is a good little car (I feel..). Modification wise, she's very similar to Wanda under the hood.. A/C and P/S are gone, some suspension upgrades, front and rear strut bars (ebay I think?) etc... But there are some ugly *** seats, and she came with a Grant GT steering wheel that I hated.

BUT!

I'm happy as a clam to own a proper car again... I enjoy driving my rattly, creaky, primered, ugly, obnoxiously loud RX-7 far more than the Z.

Not to sound like a retard, but is there a way to tell whether or not the engine is street ported...? Darren was told the engine had been street ported... it does have a rather peculiar idle, and not a ton of power (very 'average' stock S4 feeling) under 4,000 revs... But when you really rev it out, she does scoot. Considering I just got out of a Z32, and somewhat recently drove Brett's good example of a mildly modded FC, it does strike me as a bit odd that this car moves like it does.

Pics to follow..

Hey, S5 tails, that's cool. With some paint that should look pretty good, it looks like the body is pretty straight. Any thought as to what color you'd paint it? If you want a stock S4 wheel I'll throw it in with the oil pan and other stuff if you'd like.

It's got an S4.5 steering wheel in it now, but it's not in the best condition as you can see in the pic. But hey, it works lol

If you have S4 trim, that'd be cool. I'll try calling you tomorrow at some point.

Ray, The new system gives SE's 1.0 full point, not 0.5, and for the record, I have an FE. In FACT, Kristy gave the FE's a total of 0.5 12A points. NOT 0.5 each. That was only 0.125 for each FE that showed. She totally did the count on the old system.
We need a re-post of 12A points from you Ray for the minutes. Only you can count 12A points with flippers.
