Congrats Collin, that's a pretty one!

And now you have one more reason to move back to Georgia: You wouldn't want that sweet to get all rusty, right?

Holly, Fred already did repost the new system for reference, about a half dozen posts ago. But here it is again for those with limited research skills:

Properly Carbed FBs = 1.0 12A
SEs = 1.0 12A (experimental 12A)
SAs = 1.5 12As
Old Schools = 2.0 12As
Fuel Injected Rotaries = 0.5 12As
Boingers = 0.1 12As

0.25 12A Bonus Points for special examples (eg, the PrePro, Robert's White Wonder, Michael's Old School FB, etc.)

Notice that FE's, being fuel injected rotaries, are worth 0.5 points each. And boingers check in at a full 0.1 12A equivalent. Which would include Flipper, of course.

I did notice that Kristy's math was a little Home Grown. But hey, she's a Libertarian, you need to expect a little creative math from those folks.

Dudes, it's official. The Silver One is now for sale on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=...%3AMESELX%3AIT

Once she sells, it's onward and upward with The White One!

So every 12A count calculated on the new system needs to be followed by an asterisk

Oh this is not going to go over well with Prof. Green.

Greg, I think you are right, we are giong to have to put an asterisk after all 12A counts with the new system.

The Dinosaurs were Conservative Libertarians too Kristy and they held a highly principled point of view: If they could catch it, they could eat it.

And from what I know about Dinosaurs, I don't think a single Dinosaur ever gave away a single free 12A point.

But we all know what happened to the dinosaurs, right?

Mike, I like the * idea, but don't you think the *'s should go with the old outdated old system, not the new, modern, more sensible one?

Dudes, the new project is underway:

Note that none of us are buying FCs. You always hold on to the best stuff until you just HAVE to part with it.

I got it up on jacks yesterday and took the doors off and a good start on the rear axle today. I'll post some pics.

I'm on the South Side. South Side of Jefferson, that is.

A couple shots of the progress so far.

The doors are off, they're going to be replaced with a pair of GSL power window doors from the Beige One:

Here's the new LSD rear end that's replacing the GS rear end that's in there now:

Does anybody have any use for a GS rear end? It will be out in a day or two, as soon as the rain let's up a bit. Come pick it up!

Man, Ray, that looks like fun. If there is anything you need, hit me up, I may have it. How are you set for a Nikki? I know where there is a pristine example.

Thanks for the offer Mike! Got any spare Tokico shocks?

I'm thinking about putting a Del Horto in this one, give it some of that Italian sexiness. Maybe some big wheels and tires too. And an aftermarket sound system.

Ray it would be easier to just paint the silver one white, but that wouldn't be as much fun

Del Horto!!! Of course you'll be keeping your beloved rats nest. I can't wait to see how you hook that up to the Del Horto.

Only one set of Tokicos and their on the Blue One. Let me know if there is something else you are looking for.

Seeing those pictures makes me want to take a trip out to Jefferson. Maybe in couple weeks I can squeeze a trip in to the rotary center of the universe.

Yep. The Silver One is a commuter car, set up for comfortable highway cruising and 23 mpg at 80 mph. Lots of fun, but not maximum fun.

The White One will be maximum fun. Maybe not the best gas mileage, a little stiffer suspension, no cool looking rat's nest, Nikki or Rotary Blue air filter.

But maximum fun, the full blown smile effect.

And as you guys already know, most of the fun will be building it.

I am so confussed... There were a few things I thought I could always count on. Ray without rats nest, Nikki, and blue air cleaner is going to cause a ripple in the force. Maybe the Mayans were right about the whole 12/21/12 thing.

Since Ray is caving to peer pressure, lets see if we can get some good ole americun engineering
under that hood in the form of GM and Ford ignition components.

Can you say HEI and TFI? I knew you could.

I was actually thinking about some nice 15" or 16" wheels, 190 or 205 wide, like the ones on the MP5 or Flipper. Something wide to handle all that Del Horto horse power, low profile, in chrome or white. With that nice thin spokey look.

But after looking around at what little is available, including the Enkei's and Konig rewinds, they all look like crap compared to the X wheels. So until they come up with something better, it's X wheels for me.

And yes, there will be no Ford or GM parts in anything I drive. Period.

So hey, who's going to buy the Silver One? She's coming up on ebay in 2 days and 7 hours.

Special OGTA pricing can be arranged. PM me for details.

I'm glad I didn't come in my FD and skew the 12A point scale. Heck, the last 2 FBs I spent anytime with were a 13B race port with dell'orto and a 13B PP with Weber 48-51IDA. Honestly, in 8 RX7s I've ever owned... only my first had a 12A... oh, and 2 parts cars.

Hey, if it Wankel's, it's wonderful. Come on down, let's see that FD. I'll make sure she get's her proper 12A equivalency rating.
