Ray,
I did some looking over the weekend, and the PS parts you were gonna bring to the meet still might leave me a little short. I also need the loop of tubing that goes to the nose of the car and some other chunk of steel (looks like an accumulator in the FSM). If the white car didn't start this morning, are you gonna go back to the house and give her another go before tonight?
Donnie - I work across the interstate from Jeffrey's, so my only excuse is if the car doesn't start. I'll be there.
Tim - A loose battery cable doesn't count as a no-start. That's your problem, not hers.
Mike - Thanks very much for the cubby.
Does anyone need any grey interior parts? I've got spares now.

OK, car wouldn't start this morning so it's still sitting in the drive. It's a nice day, so I stayed home from work. When I ran out of starter fluid I decided I'd better go back to basics.
Sure enough, no spark to the leading plugs. My old yellow coils were starting to leak oil so I decided to start there, put some shiny new silver ones in and no change. The I checked the leading ignitor - yup the replacement restored the spark.
So I might get me and the White One down to Jeffery's yet.
Then again, the way things are going, I won't be buying the beer tonight.
Crit if I make it I will bring all kinds of PS stuff.

Ray,
I don't have any spare coils (would actually like one if anyone has one) but I can get you an ignitor if you're now down to three between the two cars.

I didn't think about it Collin, but yeah. I always like to have spare ignition stuff, as it seems to be among the toughest to repair when it goes. The RX-2 and RX-7 each have 2 round coils and I don't have any spares.
Besides that, I could definitely use an FC coil pack for the sake of a good direct-fire upgrade. We can talk about it over beers and let Ray remind me how much better an ignition it is and how easy it is to install.

Yeah, wasn't a big deal. Just the 1st hiccup I think since we got her done. She was fine all day (volt meter reads higher too, I wonder how long that was loose). Whoever put those ends on did a poor job (shocker on that car).

Notes from the May 6 OGTA meeting:
1 SA = 1.5 12As
4 FBs = 4 12As
2 FCs = 1 12A
1 Miata = 0.2 12As
1 Lotus Elan - 0.1 12As
Total 12As = 6.8
Not a record but a nice set of cars.
A Miata wandered in, nice guy, named Greg of course:
Crit's SE is a rocket, he was giving free rides:
Alan came with a real pretty black GTU:
Tim couldn't find a rotary so he brought a Lotus:
Andy finally washed his SA:

Smile Colling Smile! It takes work to smile constantly.
Ray, what is this? You are counting Miatas and Elises now and not my Mazda3? I guess I am going to have to take your white 7 and park it at my house and drive it over to the OGTA meetings. So glad you made it out with the girl. She didn't fail you.

Yes the White One is running better than it ever has, such a pleasure on the way in to work this morning.
Mazda3's have too many doors and seats to be counted as even a fractional 12A - same problem with the RX-8 although we might have to make some compensation for the rotary engine if one ever shows up for a meeting.
I should have the Silver One ready to go for the June meeting, maybe you can drive out to Jefferson, park the 3 and come back in a 7?

Ray, I'd watch your back. You know not to talk about my business........
But they really aren't very expensive.
But anyway, just got home from TGPR. The 12A did pretty good out there. Slower than the Zs, but they do have 3x the horsepower. I'm working on getting pictures and videos up.

It was a Boke (Boak?) or something like that. Post pics when you find them.
Of course you might want to look into a DKW Junior like this one Stu is looking at:
Let's see the pics Tim!
And Holly, I'm working on it, I'm working on it. Here's the current state of affairs in the Silver One:
Probably still needs a week or two but maybe by the June meeting.

It was a Moke! Thanks for jogging my memory, Ray.
The other vehicle discussed was Greg's Ginetta G12
He's a true minimalist after my own heart. Just how small can we make a reasonable car?

Crit, I forgot to get those wires off the coil packs! I remembered a little while ago when I dropped my oil filler cap down by the wires...got it back, and started the car. Apparently I moved one wire a little off near something and my motor was missing like crazy! Messed with the wires and it fixed it...yeah...I totally need to swap the wires...
I'll call you at some point so I can get 'em back from you. Plus, it's an excuse to get out of the house and be away from work!
