Old guys with 12As club meeting
Crit, you know what? Your steering wheel is at fault!!! It's TOO small...couldn't turn fast enough!
It was fun riding with you...especially around that decreasing radius hairpin...kicking the back end out...hehehe! Nicely done.

those wet conditions would have really hurt me something fierce. the amount of oversteer in combination with the non-stock port power, i would have done more drifting than anything else. seriously, i can't go WOT in anything lower than 3rd without breaking the tires loose. when i first saw those times, i thought it was a long course. then seeing the vid, it was just due to the wet conditions that noone was able to drive fast.
So I just picked up an 86 GXL for nothing. This awesome guy in Alpharetta named Bob (Apekz) sold me a black interior last week, and told me if I could tow that GXL away I could have it. So yeah, I'm all excited
. It's got soo much in it, but no motor. There's the center iron and end plates from some n/a, a S5 tranny, a set of stock springs, an extra set of great hatch struts, 2 gauge surrounds, a radiator, an oil cooler or 2, a s4 and s5 steering wheel, ONE fog light, and tons of other stuff. The body isn't too bad either, but the firewall's been hacked on. All the windows are intact, it came with an extra black steel hood, it's 5 lug w/ the GTU wheels, everything for power windows, and the center arm rest still had a few bucks in change in it
. Anyways, if you guys need any parts I'd practically give them away. Collin... Austin... anyone?

Did any of you guys go to the Mitty? I could hear that 4 rotor screaming from my back yard when I was out working on the Silver One yesterday, right around 2:00, right?
Anybody going to the May 6 OGTA meeting?

I'm coming to the meet on Tuesday, I have it off. Brett, you need to get early release so I can come hawk off some parts!
I wanted to go to the Mitty but schedule said no!

I think that was a little early for the 4 rotor, but it was screaming around the track.
I'll be there Tuesday, and I think a number of the usual suspects will be there as well.
What's the status of the girls, Ray? Did the starting fluid perfume have the desired results? I guess I will see Tuesday.
Yep, I'm coming too of course! MIGHT have the new sunroof assembly in (courtesy Brett's parts car).
I opened the store today for the first time since I became Assistant Store Manager. Was a bit nervous since I have maybe 1/4 of the training I should for doing that, but I got thru it without a hitch. I have about a week left in Jefferson before I transfer to East Winder with my GM.
Brett will have some FC odds and ends for sale soon enough, so start PM'ing him with inquiries! We priced things really really cheap!

I cant make this one guys... I had a little incident with the Forsyth County Police in October of 07 and I've got my license restricted for a few months now. Nothing big though. This summer Collin can bring me
Take pictures!
And I can buy those shocks/springs off of you this weekend or the next Austin

Looking forward to seeing what you've done with that orange one Andy and the SA will definitely help the 12A count. Any old school rotaries going to make it this time?
The White One started up this morning and runs strong once it's warmed up but still has some fuel delivery issues. Never a dull moment with carbs. So I'm going to attempt the trip into Atlanta today, if I don't make it to OGTA ya'll know what happened (yes I've got AAA).
And Holly yes you can drive my 7s anytime.

Ray, I'm anxious to lure you to the EFI dark side, but still a little reserved. I suppose that as long as Holly doesn't drive the new gal, it's okay.
I'm still going to try to make it for a bit. My cars didn't want to cooperate this morning. Was going to drive the truck to work, it stalled for some reason backing out of the driveway, wouldn't restart. Pushing a 5500lb truck sucks. But it eventually restarted and ran fine. I think it's just really low on gas and the stopping in reverse pushed the fuel away from the pick up. Time to go take out a 2nd mortgage and fill it up.
So then I tried to take the 12A. It wouldn't start. That's a first. Sounded weak. So I went to check the battery cables and burnt myself. Upon further inspection the positive wire came loose from the terminal. So at least it was an easy fix.
So if both are actually good, I'll be there in something for a bit.

I am planning to be there. But, I am a little concerned with about all these car problems being reported.
Andy, do you want the steel wheels? I'll bring them if you want them.
Crit, I'll bring the cubby for you.

) and driving around with all of that crap isn't fun.
