Old guys with 12As club meeting

Alright, not to sound bitchy...
Twisted, unfortunately - and as Kristy pointed out in her womanly wisdom - is the venue for these get-togethers. It's got a smooth, open, hassle-free parking lot. I mean really, have we ever had to fight for parking there? It may not be the most centrally located place in the world, but this is only once a month, is it not? It's also easy to get to in terms of access from a major motorway artery, and we also get..what...20% discount across the board? That saves precious pennies for those who don't have great jobs (Though really if you're that broke, you shouldn't be doing this huh?).
I'm all for starting up a new meeting place for us, but maybe do it (as Holly has said) on a different day of the week.
Truth be told, we're not an official club.. The OGTA is simply a meet. Hence the ease of simply changing the venue, but why would we want to change the dedicated venue when the one we currently attend is perfect for our needs?
If you want to change it altogether, start a club. Invite members, plan a calender of events to attend (Such as Zoom-Fest, the Mitty, Deals Gap, etc) and require a minimum attended events per calender year as a CLUB to maintain membership. Clubs get recognition, and you'd surely have to set some sort of... limit.. on who and/or what is allowed to be a member of said club.
This is getting silly.
A few years back, we had the December meet at Ray's... then we did a mountain run as a group, stopped and ate lunch, etc, etc.. Those are more club-related activities and if I recall correctly, only some die-hard people made it.
So maybe, if anyone cares to show interest in it other than to look at their computers like I'm some crazy ******* forum-rat who's rambling off his own ideals, we should consider changing it up a bit.
Just sayin'.
Brett, if your radiator deal falls through, we can work something out with the radiator that I have.......
If interested, I also have (for sale, sorry) a S5 waterpump housing and T-stat neck.

I was planning on coming down in the FD Tuesday. I went for a drive to the mountains over the weekend and this is what happened. Hit something metal in the road. It ripped the inner sidewall in 2 places and then shredded the rest of the way fast
That's JDM tight, yo

Something closer to the perimeter is cool too. But, since most live in the NE side of ATL, I dont have much of a problem having it up there. But, maybe change the venue.
But, I am scheduled until 6pm tomorrow. So, I may not make it. If I get off early I will be there. But, most likely in the Jeep Grand Cherokee as the RX-7 is making really funny noises in the transmission/shifter area. I havent had time to diagnose it yet.

That's an expensive tire. Damn I love 13" FB's.
Collin, I agree, you are "I'm some crazy ******* forum-rat who's rambling off his own ideals" but I totally agree with everything you said, except one thing, "we're not an official club.."
Collin, we are registered and documented out the wazoo. OGTA has ID:

I've got work again on this Tuesday so I am not going to be able to make it out.
Crit, I do however want to stop by your place this week and give you back the flywheel nut and socket and adapter. Also, earlier in the week you called but I was at work and keep forgetting to call you back until it's nearly 1:00 a.m. every night.

So I'm in the ACTT center at school right now, studying for my psychology final... and there's big (I mean huge) signs EVERYWHERE stating to put your phone on vibrate, because if it goes off or you're being loud, they can kick you out...
...and yet this chick two seats down from me had her phone go off, blaring a Lady GaGa song... and she's having a rather noisy, giggly phone conversation....
Rude.

If Peter shows up tonight, he's got that part that bolts to the top of the housing that the radiator cap screws into that has the overflow nipple. If I put that on I should be set for a little while.
And I'm going over to my uncles now to see if the temp sensor probe isn't leaking. Hopefully not, but if it is I'm just going to seal it off with a bolt until I can re-tap the threads... fun fun.
And if it's still having overheating issues, I guess that's a sign the coolant seals in the new motor are toast. Let's hope not.

[QUOTE=BrettLinton7;9974830]Is that a Falken Ziex 912 I spot? The tread pattern looks about the same, but it's been atleast 2 years since my last set. Is the wheel alright?
nope, Sumitomo HTR Z III sized 255/35/18 fronts
The rim appears to be fine no extra rash/dents than what it had.

Sorry I didn't make it to the meet tonight, guys. Tonight was probably one of the worst evening's I've had in a while. I got the FC cleaned up an ready for the meet and headed out, but when I got onto Buford Hwy the temp started rising again. I went about 4 miles flowing with traffic and both the engine and exhaust started smoking a little, so I pulled over into a gas station to check it out. The oil cap was spewing smoke, and when I removed the cap I could tell the coolant seals had let go. So I sat there trying to get it started for around 45 mins, then once it started I tried to limp it home. About 4 miles from my uncle's house where I've been doing all the work, the motor started knocking, then it popped a seal right as I passed over the 369/ 400 crossing. So I got redneck and my uncle towed me home with his truck and a chain.
So now I'm going to be looking for yet another low mileage S4 n/a block. If anyone hears about anything, I'd gladly appreciate them passing on the word. I'm praying I get everything finished by Zoomfest.
Collin- I'll give you a few bucks for gas the next time I see you.
Ray- sorry to make you bring the timing light, let's hope I'll need to borrow it soon
On a positive note, I've just about got everything moved into my new house. I still want to have the little 'Bash in the Sticks' as Ray calls it, running FC or not. What about sometime after Crit's Lakehouse meet, but before ZF? Maybe mid-June?

It also looks alot like Brett's old FB. You know that sweet little inexpensive red GS he wishes he kept since the FC died?
