So no one wants to do the B3R this weekend from OGTA?

Got a live video feed for the cruise https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php?...1=&postcount=45

I'll be the only SA there or 1st gen for that matter. Hope my cars up to the task.

I know a lot of you are busy putting Sexypants back together. So good luck with
that, sounds like Cathy is hell bent on fattening you all up with some cajun food.

Leave a message and call back number if nobody answers, sometimes we shut the volume off so we don't have to answer the solicitations (warning, if you give $10 to the Georgia State Police Beneficiary Foundation or the Kids with Cancer Foundation, they have a legal right to call you back and ask for more for the next ten years).

Crit and Billy have visions of having this thing done by noon Saturday. I'm betting more like noon on Thanksgiving day. Engineers and biologists have very different views of the world. In any event, we are preparing enough food to supply the legions for the next several weekends (Cathy's Cajun Cooking, no less). So come on down.

Tim this appears to be a dead link:

Maybe that's why the SA's and FB's aren't showing up?

hey all,
been working hard to get this dang silver RX7 on the road with ben's help.

got a good lead today, found out there is some really nasty crap built up in the combustion chambers...seems to be oil mixed with water. this stuff literally shoots out and makes a mess if the motor is cranked without the plugs in it.
the oil on the dipstick is still perfectly clear and new...any ideas?

ben thought that maybe condensation had built up in the chambers since the car hasn't been on the road in many months, but if that is the case how do i clean them out?

thanks in advance.

Ray: If you want me to kill your phone number and/or address after the meet, just let me know and I'll take care of it. You might not want some random people calling you.

Sounds like a good time. If I left at 1am, I could even make it in time and Cathy's cooking might even make the 15hr roundtrip worth it. I would actually consider something crazy like this, but I have to put in some extra hours over the weekend. Got some stuff due at the end of the month, but it will actually need to be done sooner than that as one key person is taking off to Mexico a few days before that for vacation. This means it will need to get done before he leaves. Oh, well.

Might wanna try Seafoaming the crap out of it. Can't hurt. If you're looking at a rebuild anyways...

That and ATF, ATF will power blast anything out of your motor. But I'd try Seafoam first, that might break it down and allow it to pass..

Why do I like this picture so much?? It makes me just want to work on that car.

Kent, I'm not worried about the random people, it's the organized ones that cause all the problems. But if you think deleting the number will cut down on the calls from the Jefferson Fraternity Fund, the 12As Forever League and the Republican National Committee, I'm all for it.

Tim, that link doesn't work either. Have you checked your map yet? Looks like you have an internetconnectivity problem, mapquest might not get you to this place you are going to tomorrow.

This is what I got when I clicked the link, not a clutch fan for sure:

"LIVE FEED... if we can get the connection with a cell phone...

you can find a link to the live feed on the event website

Blue Ridge Rotary Run"

I had some of the chicken creole this evening, terrific and it gets better in the fridge.

Any ideas on how to get this bloody gasket off the housing? It's like glued on there, and even the scraper isn't doing much. Would gasket cleaner get rid of a paper gasket?

Quad,

Get some gasket remover, spray it on, then have a beer. Have another beer. Have another beer. Then go to bed. Get up in the morning and scrap that gasked off.

No, I said that we'd be into the heavy lifting by noon. Hoods off, radiators out, cars in the air, and engines on their way out. That's all.

I am prolly gonna stop by. Gotta take care of some things first... I bought this screen protector thing tonight for my iPhone...$22... and it was like...stretched before I even touched it, but I tried putting it on anyways. Looks like crap and it feels weird, it's like a rubbery feel. Thankfully a friend-ish works there in the cell department, so he is going to take care of it for me. Either give me another one or get my money back so I can get a regular screen protector like I had before.

Fun fun!

Edit: BTW, do you guys need my hoist? If so, let me know by phone in the morning or on here and you guys are welcome to come pick it up. Sadly it won't fit in the FC...

Is it impossible to buy gasket remover? Advanced nor Wal*Mart has it. I guess I'll trek tomorrow morning to find some. There's an O'Reilly, Autozone, Pep Boys, and NAPA not too far. One of them must have it...

Also, do I need to remove those little rotating metal tubes from the intake before I install the Holley?

There is no WE here. It is just me cooking, with Ray's support and love.

If you're talking about the 5th and 6th port sleeves, they've often got a bit of carbon and gunk and whatever else built up around them. Try rotating and pulling on the rear one, it'll come out eventually.

I hope ya'll are having fun at Ray's. I just finished taking the Regent's test at school, over 3 hours I could have avoided if I had written a decent essay on the SAT and got 10 more points in that section. I guess a 1680 isn't good enough... Now I'm off to swap the battery that's in the FB since I had to clutch-start it all day yesterday, and get a push once. Not cool

So it's just stuck? I didn't wanna just yoink on it, and break the hell out of some connector on the inside. I'll just pull and twist until it comes out then. Thanks

can anyone shed some light on to our situation? was my hypothesis correct about condensation in the chambers, or what is that crap coming out?

there's no way that's just condensation. i'd say it's gotten water in the combustion chamber which means a rebuild. but u wont know if anything is salvageable til u tear it apart.
