Yeah, you mentioned the cold start, but you forgot about the switch Regular cold start won't do him any good.

Hey Crit, how's things in the Land Downunder? Seen any kangaroos?

Mike, once you've got that switched hooked up and have the cold start problem fixed, you can fill the hot start assist bottle with oil for making a smoke screen. This is especially useful for eluding the police.

Colin that's a nice curb machine alright, I'm tempted. But we won't be doing the drive for another year or two so it's a little premature.

Holly I'm looking for a copilot whenever we do this.

does anyone know if an FC radiator will bolt into an FB? i found me a used s5 radiator on craigslist for $20, and i will buy if i can get confirmation from someone that it will work. also, will FC alternators bolt into an FB and hook up w/ no problems or harness swaps?

You see Ray, if you had an FC that had some mileage under it's belt and a little 2-stroke in the tank , you would know that one redline would easily leave a nice smoke screen behind

I've heard of someone with an FB radiator in an FC, so maybe it backwards could work...?

So since I had the day off, I decided to make our old dog house into a parts shed like Ray's, so I can get all my spare parts out of these junk cars. My uncle used to be a house framer and he built it in the 80's for my grandma's 2 huge dogs, so it's at least 6'x4' and around 4' tall. The roof is double-shingled and the walls are lined with airplane blueprints printed on aluminum, then overlapped with wood. I made the opening door a little wider and taller, dragged out all the old junk, swept out the spider webs and leaves, and vacuumed it out. Tomorrow I'll finish running the wiring for a light or 2 and move some stuff in it! I'm picking up 2 hinges and a latch-lock tomorrow after our meeting at work to get a door put on. And hopefully I'll have better pictures then too.

I spray painted that when I was 10

The easiest way is to wire it to a thermostat with a probe pressed through the fins of the radiator. You can even wire it straight to the battery with just a fuse. Once the rad gets hot, the fan runs until it cools. You can get them with a simple **** to set the temp that it comes on at.

I've seen several kangaroos, wallabees, RX-3s, tasmanian devils, RX-2s, FDs, koalas, etc. I got to feed some, and all of the above stinks to one degree or another. I even got to see a S5 TII P-port 1300 wagon (R100 2-door with a wagon body) with the driver's wheel in the air as he took off from a light.

Fun Stuff. Now, pardon me while I blow up the internet ......

Yeah, I had a problem there with the pics. I've got to load them somewhere else, so those links will stay dead.

Ray:

Got the Dodge running! Replaced rusted out rotor, plugs & wires. Would crank, fire then die. Solution: put gas in tank! it had been sitting so long the gas evaporated.

Also fixed the rough idle on the Rx-7. Though I had a sticking rotor seal because it would lope along so bad when it was cold. I checked the hose to the choke pull off. It was bad, now it's good.

it was a good day to work on cars.

Greg

I'm done trying to fit these photobucket photos into the OGTA thread - sorry guys.

Here's how the ABTB (Aussie Blokes with Thirteen Bees) rolls :

This temporary chapter of the OGTA meets once a lifetime, but it's fun as hell.

It has been done before. I was told it is easy to do and have seen it done.
Never tried it myself though I have two FC rads sitting here and need one for my 79sa.

Yes it will. Make sure you get the right radiator... I am not too keen on my 2nd gen knowledge, but S4 and S5's had different radiator cap locations. It would suck if you got one with no cap on the radiator.
