Be good to see you guys. Just do us a favor OK and get the 7's fixed so we don't need to be embarrassed by any more boingers (lotus' excepted).

Crit I got a can of that Chem-Dip you were describing, comes with the basket in the paint can just like you said. Thanks for the tip, should clean those progression circuits out just fine (I can't believe I've rebuilt four Nikki's now and am just getting around to cleaning them right).

Collin you were right that was a fatal out on 85 Tuesday evening, drive careful you Guys. And Collin, let your Mom cook, OK?

Chris I got you covered on the side strip and charcoal canister, hoses if you need them.

Merry Christmas Dudes!

It was not my fault the stove caught fire. Someone spilled something into the burner pan and it caught fire underneath the pan I had going.

Crit, to answer your question: Yes. Sabine's injectors are out of the car. Gonna send them out soon.

My b-day is on the 10th. I work until 11am but past that I don't know what I want to do.

I have been there. Happened to me about three times in less than a year. You have got to love mess roommates.

But I bought another FC yesterday to hold off my withdrawals I've been having. It did not run upon pickup, but after about 15 minutes of underhood tweaking, and 5-10 minutes of towing it down the road with a 4 runner it finally started. Couldn't let it run for long since no alternator = no belt = no waterpump, but planning on putting that on today after work and crossing fingers for a running 88 SE by tonight.

Anybody got some 4x114.3 wheels for sale? I haaaaaaate phone dials hahaha.
Shooting to be at the meet in Jan.
I saw you the other day in the passenger seat of a black S14. You had a dog in your lap.

Ray, can that Chem-Dip be used more than once. If so, maybe I can use it when you are done. I am still having a fuel starvation issue. I think I have a vacuum leak somewhere. I am planning to pull the carb and check everything real good over the Christmas holiday. Would be a good time to dip the carb.

Here is my symptom, if anyone has a thought on what it maybe:

On extended pulls, like accelerating up to highway speed, I will occassionaly develop a miss. It feels like I am not getting enough fuel. The problem seems to occur under load around 4000 rpm and I believe I am just on the primaries. I have never observed the problem when I really goose it and kick in the secondaries. I can make the problem go away by backing off a little. I might be able to make it go away by kicking in the secondaries, but I am not sure about that. Anyone have a guess?

Every time I've run the float bowls dry, it's been a clogged fuel filter. Start there - it's cheap, likely and easy.

You've checked the fuel filter and pump already, right? If so, it's time for Chem-Dip!

I can bring it in on Monday if you like Mike, here's some instructions on how to use it:

Guys,

Thanks for the suggestions. I have replaced the fuel filter and pump. The fuel level in the front bowl is fine. I can't see the bowl in the back. I guess I need to buy one of the those fancy mirrors Ray has. I did track down a couple of vacuum leaks that improved things, both at idle and on a long pull. But, it has not elliminated the long pull issue.

Ray, do I need to slosh it to the right first or left? I did quite catch that in the instructions.

Always slosh left first Mike, the Bush days are over.

Actually Cathy just came home and caught me washing the carb base in the kitchen sink. I think she's accepted my argument that the Berman's is a powerful cleaning agent and I'm helping out by giving the sink a good cleaning. I'll work on the plate tomorrow.

Haha. That was one of my good friends cars, normally the dog rides in the back but since she's still a puppy I let it slide lol.
Car started yesterday, and has an alternator on it. Can't get it to run quite right though, going to go ahead and slap on my emissions free intakes, track down vaccum leaks and fix the nasty exhaust leak at the header in the process. It's nice to have another rotary Rx7.

Huh? Does this mean thay you've recently had a non-rotary rx7, or that you're just happy to have another rotary powered car?

Doh! I think that originally was going to say "rotary powered vehicle", but when I changed it the rotary part didn't get edited out. I'm just happy to have another rx7.

Well I just put an OGTA card on a silver FB off of Briarcliff. I know he's an enthusiast cause he's flashed his lights and waved at me before so let's hope we hear from him on here soon.

Thanks Michael and Chris, post some pictures and videos of this silver car, when he sees himself on the internet he'll probably get interested.

I found that last vacuum leak in the White One, now she's really back, never run so smooth or strong:

So Ray- you've got the silver one with the fender work you did and the white one with the exhaust, and the white one runs just dandy- what about the silver one? Or maybe I've confused then somewhere...

I'm doing some restoration work on the Silver One, but as long as the White One keeps purring and the house needs some work, that project may delayed for awhile.

So Austin, is this new "rotary powered vehicle" of yours going to be ready for the January 6th meeting? And Brett, suppose you could get a little time of work this time?
