I had 40 rotor stickers made up at a local sign shop. They did a really nice job getting the original that Josh supplied me with copied. The center gear teeth were difficult for them to cut she said but the samples looked great. I had 10 made in each of the following colors.. Red, Blue, Black and a metallic silver I should pick them up tommorrow or monday. I'll post pics of them at that time. I will see what the total cost is when i pick them up. I will sell them at 0 profit to club members Just need to recover my costs.

Oh Yeah, It is a 12A rotor!!

And I wish my FB got that kinda milage. I went thru 1/2 tank in 2 days last week just driving back and forth to work. I think I need to rebuild the rebuild

I wonder what kind of fuel mileage I'll see driving the autocraptic FC? Probably something pretty terrible. Once I change the oil, I'm going to put two or three gallons in the tank and drive it to work and back a few times. See what's what.

Sure Id Rather be driving the FB, but right now Its just not in the cards, I still need lots of parts, BTW my honda has a 10 year/120k mi warranty so I wont be paying for repairs anytime soon, and as much driving as I do, what I save in gas pays the note...Im not advocating Hondas, but these are trying times, It is what it is....

And I'm glad I drive an FB too, loved every drop of the two tanks I've burned this week (550 miles). Everybody is slowing down these days, making it much easier to weave in and out of traffic and get where I'm going a bit quicker.

And Kevin, Fits are nice but come on, what would your RATHER be driving?

Like Crit says, I'm paying for my gas AND my wife's spending habits with the money I've saved on the White One these last three years.

$1,500 to buy the White One and only $1,500 maintenance (that includes the full RB exhaust). That's about 1 repair trip to the Honda dealer, last time I checked.

The White One has given me 70,000+ miles and running stronger than ever, not too bad!

I'm laughing all the way to the bank.

I think my bank is still solvent, better check on that.

Anyway, the Racetrack at the Rt. 53 exit in Braselton (that's the Road Atlanta one, they had some Petite LeMans signs flashing out on 85) had $3.85 gas when I passed by on my way home from work this evening.

Come on down you Carolina boys!
I am thinking of coming down again (well, I know I will be) and hypermiling it on the highway to see what I get. I don't think it will be as good as I got in the city though, but I will stick it at 60mph and see if I can take driving slow again.

You're a *****, Collin I might head up there sometime this week and help you out a little bit, and to get my tools back. That damn autozone kit I bought a while back sucks ***... the sockets strip about every bolt you try to use them on... I miss my good 14mm but anyways...

Hopefully I get the Tuesday after next off. I've been working weekends lately so I should have it off.

And OMG GASS sucks down here. It's like $4.5 if you can FIND it. I snagged a full tank yesterday (thurs) for $4.099 a gallon. It's crazy- I had to drain the gas out of the convertible last weekend because I couldn't find it anywhere... Damn it all to heck

I'm done...

Heh, I guess I can count on a third set of hands once I get the tranny and driveshaft from the convertible...and the flywheel...and the hydraulics.

Brett, you do realize that the day that we plan to pull that stuff off the convertible...we're not going to taco hell or talking to Tara or taking anyone to the store until that **** is out and in the back of my car, right? lol Can't waste time!

-Twitch- So I just changed Sabine's oil and swapped out the Oil Pressure Sending Unit with the one off of my spare motor (Sorry Brett, but yours works and you don't be needing it.). The oil pressure is fantastic and the engine runs a lot smoother now. It put a massive smile on my face when I was writing down the mileage on the sticker. Next oil change is due at exactly 78,000 miles.

Curious as I am, I had to drive it. Now that it's totally road legal I figured: Why not? I drove it down 82 for about six miles. It's hilly but consistent. The temperature was perfect and so was the car. Found out cruise works, and the transmission is more eager to kick down when it's on cruise. Way more eager.

Which brings me to this...

The car is quite enjoyable to drive despite it's penalty of a transmission. The automatic doesn't bother me too much until I want to do one or both of the following:

- If I was to pass, I can pretty much kiss that idea goodbye. Putting your foot in doesn't accomplish anything because the transmission will not kick down.
- If I want to accelerate quickly from a stop, I may as well just stop in the middle of the road and get nailed by oncoming traffic. Why? Because even if you put it in 1st and floor it, 1st gear is so amazingly tall that you literally don't redline until about 50mph.

Any sort of 'going briskly' activity must be done while you are already moving at around 60mph and you must put it in 2nd. Even so, these gears are so tall that it actually shocks me.

Long story short, the engine is NOT down on power like I originally though. The transmission is completely at fault.

I'll be driving the car to and from work for a while. Fun.

Once you learn to drive that automatic Collin you're going to get to like it. Unless the automatic transmission is in seriously bad shape, the difference it performance between the auto and a manual is not that great, in fact a lot of automatics can shift faster than a manual.

Besides, you own it, it's already installed, and once you come to this realization you will save yourself a TON of work.

Trust me!

Ray, your EYES *and* your mind are going!

I'm definitely not going to like it...because it's an autocraptic.

The performance difference is MASSIVE!!!! The gearing on the automatic is SO amazingly tall that the motor just can't keep up with it. I tried a few ways to get the car to move quickly, but the gears are just sooooo loooooong.

It does shift pretty smooth...but the fact it's shifting for me bothers me.

Why don't you come over and take it for a spin? You'll see why it's so miserable.

Naw I'll take your word for it Collin. But it sounds like you might need a little tune up on that engine if it can't keep up with the transmission it was born with.

I'd look there first. After all, championship dragsters all have autocraptic transmissions.

Maybe you're just working out some control issues and projecting them onto Sabine?

I mean, think of it from her perspective. Would you perform well for someone who said your automatic was crap?

Ray, the car is naturally slow with the automatic gearbox.

Lack of torque + tall gearing = death.

Seriously...come drive it.

I removed the fog lights and brackets from Sabine a little bit ago. Front end looks way better now.

Also, since there's no CD player (just the stock AM/FM Stereo Cassette), I broke out some old skool tapes...Amy Grant...Flashdance Soundtrack...Mariah Carey...Toni Braxton...Twisted Sisters...Maybe I can find one of my old mix tapes too!

God, I ******' hate football... I just can't watch it. It's like watching paint dry, for me...No offense but damn.

I'd rather watch NASCAR...which I also despise. But I'd still rather watch NASCAR than football.
