I've got a first gen to paint Actually picking up some nice additions for it this weekend..will post them later on next week. But we can probabl;y work something out. Although I now have alot of people wanting things done so the fun is somewhat being pushed over by work Time to start charging i guess. I'd love to see what a half bridge feels like.

Can't you swap the tail from the SA tranny to the FB tranny and make it fit that way? It may depend on the year of the FB tranny I think. Search the 1st gen tech section.

Tried that, but the shifter forks inside the transmission are different from mine so it wouldnt budge once I put it all together, I am comtemplating getting one sent from a junkyard and the only thing holding me back is that its $250 but thats guaranteed and shipped to the shop I work at.

Shhhh. I said to keep it on the down low! I'm not wanting a great paint job on the SA. Just something better. Stu came up and we finalized the exhaust ports on the housings. I had hoped to get started on the assembly today, but I am waiting on another set of gaskets to come in to replace the damaged ones I found in my set. Freakin sucks. O'well, we got alot done today anyway. My 5" tach with shiftlight came in today so we got that mounted in the SA. We also had a little fun with an old rotor and a sledge hammer...........Stu took pics

Sorry no more HB talk from me. Sounds like your coming along nicely on the SA. I can't tell you how many times the manufactures screw me on jobs at work when they staple the bag INTO the gaset. Or they fold the Big case gaskets or cover gaskets in half and they tear. They fold them to cut their shipping cost to us. Talk about backfire. They have to ship twice all the time.

So are you basically talking like a scuff and spray with no straightening to be done..or minimal anyways. We can probably work out a good job. Time to start getting booth space lined up I guess

I quit, don't want to do it anymore. Here it is,..anyone want to finish it...J/K Ant!! Actually I plan on primeing some parts this weekend. Then another round of sanding is required( at least 1 more) Then on to the booth for some color, Then more wet sanding. Then clear. And then,..yep more wet sanding. Then buff and get it back to him. I am really trying to get it done by July 18 so he can take it to ZOOM-FEST at Road Atlanta

Hey did you decide on a color yet dude?

Man, some old woman called me when I got home. Didn't know the number so I didn't answer. Turns out I left a card on her son's car (an 80) about a month and a half ago. She wants to know how much its worth, and starts telling me in the message. Needs a new muffler, sunroof, some rust, tires. But it runs good!

I was like wtf, then I remembered I left one on an SA back in Macon, GA while I was down there. Sucks, cause I left a card on a DKW Junior as well. I wish the DKW would call me instead. Woman had to be like 90 billion years old.

Pretty much. I hope I have the SA back up and running by the next meet so you can make your own opinion on what you want to do.

Stu,

If you come up Hwy. 29, feel free to stop by in Lynchburg. I can give you those irons if you want them. I also have a few black S2 interior pieces that you might have use for.

The rotors and pads are for the protege, but the transmission cooler is for the RX when I get it turboed

No, it will not be a transmission cooler. It will be for this:

air to water i/c's are great but make sure you use a high volume pump with large lines running to and from. (-12an is good).

as long as you keep ice in the reservoir your iat's will be nice. not the greatest thing if it's goin to be a street car but it can definitely get the job done

I was going to use like a SE fuel pump or something for the water. I want ice in there for the meets, other than that it would melt within 5 miles.

And I am taking that cooler back, I think it is too small. Going for a 2nd gen AC Condenser. Those pass through 15 times if I remember right, as this one only does 7.
