Yeah man, I really wanna hear how that sounds. You might need to pick up a small rubber gromet or whatever its called if you care. I never did for mine but some people like the ultimate professional/stock appearance.

If you come by early enough, we might be able to work some "black" magic! I have solved my problem of getting the FB to run right over 10 psi. Old girl screams at 13 psi now. I am going to start saving some funds for a wideband. I know I'm still running pig rich at 13, but I would like to know ecxactly for sure. If somebody (Zack or Brian) has access to Idemitsu premix that would like to make a few bucks tommorow, you can bring some to sell .

First thing you need to know when owning a 7 is Ray Crowe @ Malloy Mazda, 1-888-533-3400. The best and quickest parts(OEM) around. Usually haveparts in 2-3 days. If not quicker. Hope to see you there.

 

As of right now the weather is nice. Sunny and 52*. It looks like the weather will be pretty good till later this afternoon. After 4 pm it's calling for a 30% chance of sprinkles. So we should have a descent day, but a little on the cool side. Works out great, because the turbo loves the cool air . Hope everyone who wants to come today doesn't get scared of a chance of sprinkles later. I am bringing a few parts if anyone needs them. I have a good leading and trailing set of second gen coils. I also have a set of wheel adapter/spacers fot the first gen guys to run 4X100 with a +35 to +40 offset. I'll explain what all wheels you can run with these.

 

sam i just might need them coils from ya, i dunno ill have to talk to ya about me pile and see what ya think.

`That was a nice showing!! Lots of FC's. Black is the new color apparently. All nice cars. Good too see everyone and meet new people. Also was good to get away from the house for a while, it's been about 9 weeks since i have been anywhere much. Got more inspiration to continue on with the restoration process.

had fun today guys. sam if your around this week i may hit you up and come put in that gear. was really great to actually get to hang out and meet all of you. im not really good with names so forgive me at the next meet if i dont remember all of them.

 

2 pulled in behind me and perched themselves in the corner of the parking lot,..trying to wait for burnouts or whatever honda behavior they were expecting. They never bothered us but they just hung out untill everyone pulled there cars over to the Ocharles parking lot.( so they did not take a chance getting towed.)

Wasn't really a big deal, they just suck in general, not allowed to have fun anymore i guess.

I offer my house for a BBQ and whatever race(Grand-am/ALMS Roundy round) is on or taped/Tvo'd. Work on the cars of course!! Just to change things up and take some hassle of that **** off the meet. It should be hassle free after all.

And I gave a card to a silver RX8 in the parking lot. Young kid,..he was stoked (happy) about there being a Rotary crowd. He said he loves his 8. Should be a the next one. Add to the generation timeline we usually have.

 

I made it. On the way home I decided to go ahead and tear everything out of the engine compartment replace all the hoses and vac lines and rebuild it. Looks like it will be parked for a few months. I don't have much spare time. If you guys have any tips(this is my first rebuild) hit me up. I also need to know where to get a good rebuild kit.

 

I don't really give cards to RX8 guys anymore. Last guy I gave one too I gave it and he asked what it was for, and I told him that we have a club for cars that have a rotary engine.

He swore his car did not have a rotary.

But damn. So no one got pulled over?

Well this actually turned out for the good with the cops lurking today. While we were at O'Charley's, I asked to speak with the manager about us using thier parking lot for our meets. I also talked to them about us getting some type of discount for us being a regular group. He gave us a 10% discount, and said we could use thier parking lot. Sorry I didn't get to show you guys some more back roads. I'll try to get the video edited sometime this week.
