Either or. We just need to make a definate decision before Sunday. I think Long is coming to my place first. If you want to get with him and follow him down, you could come here first. Just make up your mind.

On a different note. I went over to Andre's this afternoon and got his vert back up and running. Thanks Mills for the ECU. I swear. Andre's vert has never ran as good as it does now. If maybe someone could hook Andre up with a vert or TII right side mirror (Long), Andre may have the vert repaired for Sunday. He is going tomorrow to hopefully get the windshield.

I plan on going to Sam's first and then head over. Someone needs to decide for the rest of the group so we don't have half of the people waiting in the wrong place.

Good point Kent. Someone needs to chime in on this.

i didnt think that the auto ecu would limit my car the way it did, i was under the impression that the ecu had nonthing to do with the auto trans since it had its own cpu. but i was wrong. she seems to run pretty good now, still a little smokey, but awsome none the least. if i get a windshield i will bring the ol' gal out of hiding, but i dont feel comfortable driving her with the winshield in that condition. so, long....... i guess your not selling that T2 hood back to me after all?

Okay, guys. The meet is tomorrow. We need to figure this out. I propose:

Sam's house by 12:30 if you want to meet there
BK by 1:00 if you want to meet there

Leave from Sam's, meet up with any at BK and then go on to the lake. Does that work for everyone?

We should get another count of who is coming still and what they are bringing.

Andre: is your grill charcoal or gas?

See you guys tomorrow.

Andre's grill is charcoal Kent. Your proposal sounds good. On a side, it must be nice to have unlimited funds...........I hate rich people.

The cars belong to a client of my wifes firm. He invited us to come to his house for a little get together last weekend. We started talking about cars, and naturally I started started talking about RX7s. Then he says, " Let's go out to the garage and I'll show you my toys." I about had a coranary. I repeat. I hate rich people............

Here's what we are bringing:

- charcoal, lighter fluid, matches, tongs, flipper, 3 2 liters, plastic forks/spoons, paper plates, cups, brownies, and napkins

Sam: you still need that FCD circuit? I will try to finish it up tonight if I have time. Unfortunately, I have some crap to get done for work (been working on it all day ), so I'll have to see if I have time. Not difficult to do, just have to see if there is time to build/test.

That would be cool if you could. Since no one has spoken up about going to the BK in Mooresville first, I will consider that a sign that no one will. I hope we have a descent turnout tomorrow. The Vert is running great now. I just wish that I had time to swap out the the trans before the meet. That should be about the last thing to do on this one. The only other thing is the notorious flasher/horn cpu that always gives problems on the S5 Verts. The high beams don't work, but that's no biggie. Just won't pass inspection.

Thanks guys for coming out today. We had a pretty good time. Andre got into a little mishap on the way over. He was almost to my house when was rear-ended. Fortunantly he was driving his truck. He didn't get hurt, but the S10 is toast. He still drove it home, but it tore it up pretty bad. It tottaled the other car. The accident was othe other drivers fault, so hopefully Andre might come out to the good on this one. Anyway, here's some pics of the Park Meet.

Made it back. Nice to see you guys. Wish more could have made it. Those who missed it missed out on some nice weather and good food. Just about a perfect day for a drive down and a BBQ.

Nice pics, Sam.

Andre: Hope you are okay, man. Bad luck there. Hopefully we can visit more next time.

Well guys I finally got to get my hands on the SE today, Dad and I got the front end pretty much torn off and got to survey the damage a little bit more and it still kills me to look at it, but hopefully I will have another one soon to start swapping parts over to!

pics:

my ever growing parts pile

P.S. I also have a trans and driveshaft for sale if anyone needs one, Kent I know you said you needed a tranny

I may be interested in coming to a meet, if that would be okay. I don't have a 7(that actually runs), but I've fallen in love with these cars and I would like to learn as much as I can so that when I finally get a proper one, I'll know how to do some of the work myself.

Kory: The tranny is for Chris in Winston-Salem. He goes by cjf on the forum. I'm sure he might be interested in it if it is good. He also has a few GSL-SE parts if you want to trade (seats, wheels, intake, etc.). His tranny was making noise in 5th. I helped him put in a new clutch and swapped in a different tranny. Turns out the 'new' tranny was worse than the old. Noise in every gear (except 4th) and really bad on downshifts (especially into 2nd). Either too much slop in the front part of the tranny or it has a bad front countershaft bearing.

So, shoot him a pm about it or you can just discuss it with me and I can pass the word along.

Looks like you are making good progress. Hope to see you back on the road soon.
