I thought I've seen you out a few times but I don't know there is a few other denalis with wheels and stuff. Anyway.. I have a header and am getting a presilencer soon.. But uh.. Yeah I know I don't know how to drive. I'm trying not to drive as hard anymore because my fuel consumption is slowly catching up. Anyway what are you trying to tell me Kevin?

It was a joke dude. You were complaining about your gas mileage, and I stated that every random time I see you out, you are winding it out to/near redline. Obviously mileage will blow goats with driving habits like that.

FWIW, in my driving of my t2 with the wideband on (stock fuel, basically stock ports) I notice that the engine seems most efficient at 25-35% throttle between 2000 and 3300rpm. Inside that range AFR's seem to be 13.5-15.0, and outside that range AFR's drop into the 12's or lower.

Oh, sorry Kevin.. I didn't take it personal as I know I don't drive the best but I was wondering if I was doing anything wrong.. Anyway I try to keep it below 35% throttle and below the secondaries. But I guess all this city driving I do plus all the mild spirited driving I do on the side it equals out..

Oh yeah my idle doesn't flucuate any more after I put the SAFC-ii in. So maybe it was THAT rich.

Here is more info from the NA for sale i mentioned a few pages back, the guy emailed me this last week:

1988 Mazda RX-7 GXL
5-Speed Manual Tranmission
I was the third owner.
Engine type: Rotary motor; Twin rotors inline with 6-port induction
Displacement: 1.3 liters (1308cc ; 80 cu. in.) Fuel Tank Capacity: 16.6 gal.
Dual exhaust with no catalytic converter Curb weight: 2720 lbs.
15in alloy wheels
Some rust patches, mostly on sunroof and front of hood.
282,987 miles
All electric equipment works.(sunroof, locks, radio, etc.) Comes with original owners manual and documentation.
Also, I have a Haynes manual and a Chilton manual for the car.
The spark plugs are in good shape, they were replaced a couple weeks for I stopped driving it.
The belt is in good condition as well.
It has a fairly new radiator as well.
Car will start right up, but motor is losing compression. More than likely going to need to be rebuilt.
Hasn't been drove in about 2 months. Last time I drove it, it wasn't wanting to run.
If someone is interested I wouldn't recommend them planning on driving the car home as I do not know how far it would make it, despite it appearing to run pretty good as of now.

I am toying with selling the FD too. I don't really have the time or extra funds to enjoy it or make it what I would like it to be.

You wanting it in two years?

I just don't want another car payment and I am in need of getting a reliable DD and I already have what I want picked out (Nissan Murano). I will have to sell the car first though and then pay cash for the remainder.

Hey freddie, I live and Maryville and all... and I have a slightly used 23yr old soul you can have, it just requires a small deposit of ONE FD... This is a limited time offer! don't let a chance of a life time pass you by!

You looking to complete the trifecta of generations?

As tempting as it sounds...I can't find the Kelley blue book trade in value of 23 year old east tennessee souls, so I guess I will have to start looking for cash offers once I make the decision to sell.

I don't believe Kelley Blue Book goes back that far to those models of souls. Isn't KBB only good up to 20 years?

Hey Freddie, I'll buy your FD as soon as I get the money... I'm taking the neighborhood kids and parting them out on eBay. Anyone need a kidney?

Well before I decide to let her go, I am going to clean the garage out of all the random parts I have accumulated.

I am going to take care of a few things on her before I let the biddding begin. New plug wires, fuel filter, clean up the engine bay, add some ground wires, etc. It will be a couple of months before I have to decide her fate.

Poor FD... well I hope it goes to another rotorhead. You should have a tough screening process and testing for prospective buyers. Bring out a diagram and make them label all the seals and crap.

In other news, there was a black 12a FB at Circuit City tonight. Had one hell of a whale tail hanging on the back there.

So are we having a meet tomorrow? I'm guessing not since no one has said anything.

How come I always miss out on this action? Oh well. My turbo spools once again, thanks to a battery swap. Thought I'd give the Cheeto a break.
