East Tennessee Rotary Club
lol, as it is id 'want' 4k out of it, if I replace the airdam and finish installing some electronics it goes to 5k, as I would have to pick up a daily. I know what I have in it, most of the goodies being maybe year old, the engine has maybe 7k miles on it, turbo has 3k miles on it, exhaust was redone and sounds fantastic as far as i'm concerned.
That said, I dont want to rush the FC. If I rush it, it won't be done the way I want it to be. I'll end up buying parts to be 'temporary' that end up being permanent, which is why i'm starting with suspension, cuz if I would have started under the hood, I could have had the swap done, but be left with the need to pull everything apart a second time to do suspension, or not ever get to that point.

lol totally understandable. i need to invest in another fc to drive regularly myself. i'm seriously going hate dailey driving my FB when it comes out of the shop w/ that ugly *** flat blue and rusty door for at least a couple of weeks.
hah yeah...people seem to think verts are made of gold and should command more money *shrugs* at least the s5 verts dont have that auto belt bs like the coupes do, only saving grace. Still prefer the s4's over the s5's as far as coupes go interior wise. Traditional lap belts seem to hold 'me' better into the seat more than mouse belts do...

They're supposedly "super rare" (that's a repeating term I see on Craigslist) but I see more verts running around than coupes. Almost always 88's though. I'd like to have a series 5 turbo-vert one day. Would be a hoot to autocross and to just drive around during the summer. I think the next car I get will be a new or newer Subaru to replace the aging Legacy.
hah~! yeah tons of 88's...though probably because it was the first year and it sold like hotcakes. Turbo vert wouldnt be too hard to pull off, though I wonder how the downpipe would clear due to all the underbracing (hard to access the starter on verts because of one brace). Though I dunno, could run a jdm downpipe if you were just keeping it 'stock'.
Seems everyone's buying up new subaru's...me, id probably like a 'small' crotch rocket (as in sub 750cc...a 500's more than enough to kill me), or a civic hatch to beat around in.

heh i dunno, those sound almost too old. im looking mostly for something I wont need to invest time or energy into other than trying to ride it, not maintaining the **** out of it like these other hoopty's ive got around here.
maybe. I could stand a few years old, but somethiing as old as the fc thats a bike...yeah no, thats asking to tear it apart and find problems...
I dunno, just at a time where I only want one project, not several.

Is anyone gonna come out to Pellissippi this weekend or am I going to have to rep the rotary alone again?

Also, there's a special event next month at Chilhowee Park! Big parking lot, vendors, spectators, and even a competition between the local police departments. Come out and support, or step up and drive

I didnt build it lol. I got it that way. Its actually really fun to drive. The guy got fed up with the renesis after he went through 3 motors so he put a 500hp 383 in the damn thing. Luckily i live in tennessee so people like that sort of thing its currently for sale. lol

Cheeto updates: Another Carter fuel pump died on me a few weeks ago so I installed a Holley Red. It's been running filthy rich up top ever since, no matter how much I turn down the regulator. It pulls hard until about 5k where it starts lose power and sputter. AFR's fall into the 10's. Glad I have the wideband (thanks Jeremy!) or I'd have no clue what was going on. I'm hoping this new little project I'm calling "SuperNikki" solves the problem. More on that soon.

GT-What? Oh, that.
Hey guys, I was just browsing through the forum and saw this thread so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name's Sean, I'm actually moving to Nashville to go to NADC so I guess I'll spend enough time to find out where the meets are and whatnot. Hope to meet some of you guys while I'm at college.
