Derrick, think of it like concrete and rebar. the rebar is the mat and the concrete is the resin and so on.. beleive me it has strength. It's held my body weight. I'm reinforcing the seam today even though it's probably not necessary.

Yeah fiberglass is some strong ****. If you ever take a shower, you're standing on a pretty thin amount of it.

I second the "kidnap Jason" movement.

But yeah. After I get finished with this one and my dad's I'll make some for you guys. But it's going to cost. And if you are worried about weight, don't. Mine has very close to the volume needed for a 12" sub and weighs about I'd guess 8 pounds.

I guess I'm done. I still have to add the terminals and drill the mounting holes. I'm getting the body filler tomorrow and I may paint it. I don't know. because It'll never been seen unless I'm showing it to someone. I really don't need to get the body filler. but I figure I'll atleast try to get rid of the rough spots.

Might as well make it look good. I'm very anti-subwoofer in my cars... I don't even have a radio in the TII. Too heavy and it rattles everything loose inside the car, even worse than driving on Knoxville roads.

That's fine, I'll help you drop it in if you want. I hope your garage is warm, it's supposed to snow Saturday.

Ol' right guys!
You gotta check it out! I think Cody mentioned something to Jerm about it. I did a little research on the SCCA, etnregion. They set-up "classes" in the region once or twice a quarter. you learn and drive the course Sat. and then you drive and ref sun.
Sounds like the closest thing we can get to legal road racing.

I don't know about you guys but,.........

....ahhh yeah!

moke.

Are you talking about the Solo II autocross classes or an actual track day? I haven't looked at the schedule for this year yet. I never did get out to an event last year because it was just not worth the expense. They raised the non-member dues to $30 per event and that + fuel costs just isn't worth it for a few 45 second or less runs. It is a blast though, maybe we should all plan a meet around it this Spring. If they have it at Oak Ridge Mall or Adesa out in Lenior City this year then it would be good.

They used to have autocross at Karns High School when I went to school there, I haven't heard anything about it in years though. I'm not sure if it was SCCA sanctioned or another club.

Son'bitch... they're having events at Pellissippi this year! We already missed one but the other is on the 30th of this month. Possible meet'n'cross? I'll probably be flat broke by then. I'm definitely going to at least spectate though, that's free! And I'll play photographer for any of us that run. Here's the schedule for this year...

http://etrscca.org/soloii/schedule.php

lot of TBA's up there, I'm hoping they throw some of those to Oak Ridge Mall since it's close.

Nah I stay away from temptresses such as this "Craig's List." Cody you could probably still run, I've heard some pretty loud cars out there. They don't care that much about the sound violations.

Road race tires would be fun... it would put you in a really competitive class though. Quite a few drivers run slicks.

Oh wow, it got up and moved itself eh? Why'd you take it to someone else for the dirty work? Didn't seem like there was much more to do on it.

To be honest, guy thats doing it knows more about body work than I care to learn right now. And after seeing how much bondo they used to fill in the hood I wanted no part of the *** of that thing, especially with the way they had that spoiler attached. But it moved all under its own power, needs pads and rotors bad thouogh, damn think squeeked and grinded for the entire 1/2 mile or so, oil pressure guage read about 60psi, temp guage didnt seem to be working....But I think new tires and a few lil things and she could be set for a while.
