I'll have to agree that primered cars look like ***. Sure, speed talks, but who are we kidding? Is anyone here running under a 14 at the track? I know, I know, quarter mile times aren't everything. But who else are we kidding, how many people here have suspension upgrades? Or even decent tires?

I'm not trying to bash on anyones ride as the people who have primer on their cars are working on them which is a plus. I'm simply saying that primered cars looks like ***. But that's personal preference.

I'm going to have to give than an amen.

I also say all this realizing I have a car with 21 year old paint that is not well taken care of. I have fairly noticeable dents in my car and rust spots. However, it is all one color and it is not my daily driver anymore (yay for my new Mazda 6). I plan on restoring it when I get the money, until then I'm spending just enough to keep it running (semi) smoothly. Yet, my N/A is just as fast as anyone else's, mainly due to a SP/rebuild done by Landers.

This is all just my opinion. Please take it as such and I'm not targeting anyone...

Does anyone know the pinout for kenwood AUX DIN (I'll have to look to see how many pins it has) jacks? If not I'll do a bit more searching and then I'll just figure it out on my on.

I have an enV that I'm trying to intergrate into my system mostly for it's mp3 capabilities but the car phone thing would be nice too.

I think everyone here can agree that we 're here to share ideas and knowledge, and love of Rx-7's. Yes, it's too bad that some of us aren't as fortunate as others and can't rebuild a nice fast "7" in 6 months or less. But you'd think as a builder in the industry, with tones of knowledge, one would encourage and inspire. But, instead they don't seem to have the common sense to not **** off those who may actually contribute to putting food on their table for the family. Sounds to me like someone is not very smart when it comes to business. Hope you're accomplishing what you set out to do.

Dude >.> I go to meets on my own terms and nobody elses. I have always been an hour away from the closest meet and some days I have other **** "I" would rather do....like sleep and stay out of the cold *** air.

As for taking sides, the only side I take is MINE. Whichever side better serves my interests I may or may not back. I first took minor offence to having my car called a rat rod but then I stepped back and thought "Yeah....I love rat rods" and that was it for me, the car is and will continue to be my own version of the rat rod. Semi-gloss black and I might pull out the can of pearlescent purple for some ghost flames across the hood and sides.

When teh day comes for me to get the funds up for a rebuild, know where that core is being sent? Its going to morristown to be rebuilt, cost me 10-20 in gas to drop off any number of my cores to be streetported by Landers.

Bleh now I got a headache....

 

Eh I just can't sit by and have some douchebag come in a picture thread and insult others' cars because they don't look nice. I don't care who it is. I've had people tell me they don't want to come to meets because their cars have flaws and they're afraid they'll be looked down on. That's exactly what I don't want happening. One thing I like about our club is that no one has that high-and-mighty attitude that plagues so many car clubs.

I can't say I was too happy with Jeremy's posts either. Your keyboard has a temper, man! I think we can make our point without resorting to attacks on reputations. I gotta agree with Hellbent there... bad PR.

So hopefully we haven't scared anyone away from coming to the next meet. I'll be there... probably in my FB which is almost all one color but still not pretty, waaah I hope everyone else will show as well. Maybe we'll get some warmer weather by then.
