so are you getting a 1st gen or a 2nd gen cody? and if its an auto box youll be swapping alot more than just a trans. Trans, driveshaft, full set of pedals, cluster, the list goes on and on i think, but those are the big items you need.
oh yeah, youll also have to swap the automatic flexplate for either a lightweight flywheel or a manual flywheel, then the addition of a clutch and its related components....Much fun will ensue.

As was said in the other thread, even if you do a $200 maaco paintjob or a $50 rattle can job and murder it out, at least it is all one color. That's all I'm saying. I've been there and done that before. You dont have to drive around 3 years while saving for that show quality job...you CAN do a cheap job now and redo it later if you want.
This is why FC's and FC owners have such a rep in the community for being broke and having ratty rides. You wanna know why the FD owners dont come around...that is why. If you had a 15-25k clean FD would you want to put it beside a multi color dented up car in a parking lot or caravan?

What, because I do work for the public I can't have a personal opinion and express it? Funk that.
Not everyone likes things about my rides, and I am happy to debate the issue with whoever wants to step up, rather than getting pussyhurt over it. BUt then, all of mine are one color and didn't see the road until they were, so I doubt much could be said. Reality is what it is I guess.

That's just it...there were never any personal insults. Half of you, I dont even know personally, so how could I insult you? All I did was go into a thread meant to showcase nice cars, and half of the pics I see, are pics I would not be proud to post on the internet and brag about.
I understand about building things up...I have had cars that I bought as a roller and did a full restoration on. I've built tens of cars now from the ground up over the course of years and thousands of dollars. I know what it entails.
But I didnt drive it around in that state, nor did I post pics on the internet of it to "show off" in that state and then get pissed when someone said it was not pretty.
I even pointed out before I posted the comments, not to take offense, nor was it directed at any one person. IF you guys want to get butthurt over it then I guess you are too sensitive for the internet.

( Bridgeporting) so I understand why your bent . As far as the meet you can come and try to get some customers back ....... as far as your paint, you speak of show quality but I seen some flaws and 2300.00 for that job you got ripped off . Just letting know cause I only paint for a living .

This may be the internet, but this is a local forum of people who, for the most part, know each other in person. I am more an asset to you than you are to me. Except of course for those who want to waste $600 on shipping to their "hookup in california" and back. I do the most affordable builds in north america, hands down. And there are no legitimate complaints of my work, only second-or-third-hand "he said she said" bullshit that is never proven and never comes from my actual customers (remind you of anything?).
Anyone that gets offended so easily is probably a liability and not someone I want to deal with anyway. I have learned to spot "problem children" a ways away after dealing with so many.

You paint for a living? Then paint your own ****. Maybe if yours looked nice enough I would bring work to you. You'd be better served by making a friend of me rather than an enemy.

This man has you beat, Jeremy. He might've had body damage, but he fixed his **** and it looks good now, is all one color, and his actually looks like a normal car driving around town.
