What happened man? We waited around until about 5 before we headed out. I hope you didn't get stuck on the road somewhere. I was hoping someone with a cell phone could get your number or give you one to call. What's wrong with it now?

It was an interesting meet, that's for sure. Pretty good turn out and I had a lot of fun despite Joey nearly killing us by spraying oil all over the road. Too bad that accident had to bring the cops out. Cody, quit crashing your car, geez. Did Brillo ever call AAA for those girls? It looked like a cop was headed their way. That was too funny... still can't figure out why their car would just shut off like that and not start though. Even if the starter was bad, it wouldn't have anything to do with the engine shutting off at random. Oh well. Pics coming soon!

i know. i was soooo mad. obviously ive developed a *HUGE* electrical drain somewhere, my battery goes flat in like 3 hours? maybe i think? and my carb is not tuned right- obviously i suck at that too...so if anyone can tune a 2 bbl mikuni worth a damn let me know...i need help. and i need a car. volvo? something cheap and reliable. dude this blows. ok. enough venting.

glad to hear the meet was good! ha girls, cars, AAA, the fuzz! how can it get any sweeter?! awesome.....wish oh so badly i couldve been there....

I wish I knew something about carb tuning, it would probably come in handy. How old is your battery? Have you checked the voltage on a full charge? I had that issue in my FC and it turned out to be the battery. Damn, cheap and reliable don't usually go together. Maybe you should look into an older Toyota... nothing can take a beating like a Toyota and you could probably find something cheap.

No worries, there will be other meets in the near future. The weather should start warming up a bit soon so more rotaries will come out to play.

Pics are up in the meet thread! As for the story behind all that... after 5 of us left the cabin and went back down the Tail, we got flagged down by 3 high school girls who were broke down by the lake and absolutely clueless. Their car had just died and wouldn't start back up... starter clicked but wouldn't turn the motor, even with a jump. No idea what was going on there. Neutral safety switch maybe? I dunno. So no one had any phone service, so they gave us the number of one girl's boyfriend and their AAA info and asked us to call when we got to somewhere with service. The whole time they were freaking out about being in trouble with their parents, it was pretty funny. So I'm wanting to know just how that conversation went between Brillo and that girl's boyfriend/parents. Musta freaked them out quite a bit.

So anyway, try posting your woes in the first gen section, I'm sure there's a lot of carb gurus on there that can tell you just what to do with a Mikuni. And take that battery to Autozone or Advanced, they should test it for free.

That was a great meet, and dragon run. Good to finally see all 3 generations represented. Also glad that my first gen held together.
Oh I did smell gas after I gave joey that hose. Found out this morning it was pouring out the return fuel line all the way back from the dragon. Leave it to the 1st gens to spill fluids all over deal's gap.

Oh yea i rebuilt and tuned my mikuni. I also have a rebuild cd somewhere I think. Give me a call 603 0702 or talk to me at the next meet

I need some seats bad, and a working drivers seatbelt.
Seats, steering, and rebuilt lsd and I will be a happy dude.

Yikes, gas leaks are never good. Hard to notice too since our cars drink so much anyway.

Well there ya go FBatman, maybe we do have someone local that can help!

It was cool to see everyone. I'm sure most of you don't remember me very well, if at all. I'm definitely going to be attending any upcoming meets from now on.

I just bought my first 7, and I'm anxious to get it working on it. Hopefully, it won't be too long before I bring it to meets.

Damn, I wish I could have made it.. I'm still down. for the count.. I'm just now getting my temp under control. it was 104-5. Which for those not in the know. It's not fun in the least. Hopefully Twin City will let us come back and I won't get the flu.

fbatman, If you need the oil cooler I'll bring it to you since I was unable to make it.
