Pineapple Racing FC aluminum sump (oil pan)

Pineapple Racing FC aluminum sump (oil pan)
Pineapple Racing has developed a new aluminum sump (oil pan) for 2nd gen RX-7s (86-91, FC, S4 & S5, yadda yadda).
Features:
• High quality cast aluminum with machined mating surface
• Higher capacity (exact measurement pending, but physically as large as possible without exposure below cross-member).
• Cooling fins cast into bottom
• O-ring sealing for leak-free use as well as ease of installation and removal
• Double drain holes make it easier to drain sump completely
• Thick flange contributes to engine stiffness (yes, really)
• Stainless steel windage tray to reduce oil aeration
• Vertical baffles to prevent cornering starvation
• Includes o-ring, windage tray with baffles, drain plugs, and new, longer fasteners for both the flange and the engine mounts
• Cool enough to leave on your coffee table in your living room for 6 months until you get around to installing it
We expect to get the first batch of pans back from our machinist Monday. The windage trays and baffles are being CNC laser cut tomorrow. Fasteners are on order and should be here early next week.
Retail price is a very reasonable $350 but we can do a GB price of $299 plus shipping! As a comparrision, the FD aluminum sump we co-developed with Ground-Zero Motorsports retails for $450 and isn't this nice.
Here is a picture of the FD one, for reference.
Same o-ring seal (no leaky gasket!!!) but the windage tray for the FC pan is MUCH cooler, too...stainless steel with a rotor-shaped pickup hole and our name cut into it. I'll get some picture when they are done.
Let me know if you want to do the GB on the FC pan. Haven't given much thought to the minimum buy-in, but 5 sounds good for the $299 price. More would be better, obviously.
If the GB does not take off, you can buy the pans through our new online store HERE. Also, be sure to check it our because we have a bunch of other stuff on there that may be interesting.

Here is a drawing of the windage tray, since I don't have any to photograph yet. The drawing was the basis for the Autocad file used for the CNC laser, so it will basically look identical.

Okay, this is looking good for a GB. I will contact Ryan and see if we can proceed. No idea on the timeframe of the GB right now...we will probably play it by ear, like with the alternator relocation brackets. I might even give more leeway to those who have bought stuff from us before, like 88t2romad. Maybe take a small deposit to sort out the serious from the pretenders, then give everyone a comfortable payment time-frame (a month? two?). Let me know what sounds good.

Went to the CNC laser cutting place today and saw the test piece. I was really worried because the guy called up and said there was a "problem" and we really needed to come down and look at it. Turned out to be a matter of moving a fastener slot 20-thou to one side. Everything else was perfect! Better than expected. I should have the run of windage trays on Monday...the same day as our pans come back from the machinist.
