Pineapple Racing FC aluminum sump (oil pan)
Blake, how many of the first 20 are left? I been tight on funds recently but I will probably grab one in the next couple days. Gotta say man they look better than I expected. Almost too nice to actually use!

I just got mine a few days ago.
Very nice unit for sure.
I don't think the additional thickness of the pan at the motor mount will have any effect on the position of the motor at all.

Great. Glad you guys are liking them. Orders are picking up, so I'll let this thing run a couple more weeks before I hike the price up.
As you can see in the picture below, the engine sits nice and level and the pan is neatly tucked up behind the crossmember where is is safe. Predictions of trouble by certain people on this forum were obviously off-base.

I showed my new pan to a few peole today and they were all impressed but all said the same thing. "Too bad you won't see that when its on the car." But I told them all that I'll know its there and it will give me a smile whenever I'm under the car.
These really are a work of art Blake! Thanks!

I am concerened that you removed the windage tray. The bolts were loctited and lightly peened to ensure they would not come out on their own. We don't want them taken out and put back for fear of damaging the threads in the aluminum pedestal, plus we can't ensure they won't come loose in the future after you've messed with them. When you put them back, please use Loctite, torque them 7-10 ft lbs and peen them lightly. You might also want to run a 6mmx1.0 tap down the holes first, to ensure the bolts will run down cleanly and torque properly.
Well, orders picked up too much and we are now at risk of selling out before the next batch is done, so I hiked the price up to $399. That's more in line with the true value of the pan...$299 was just a smoking deal to recover the cost of the molds, etc. That ship has sailed. Congratulations (and thanks) to those of you who took advantage of the deal. If anyone really regrets missing the introductory pricing, feel free to get a real group buy going with at least 5 people and I'll see what I can do.

My bag of nuts and bolts was wedged underneath the windage tray, near the sharpest edge.
I had to take it off to get them out or cut the **** outa my hand as I tried to get them out. During shipping they must have goten real jammed in there. I used loctite when I reinstalled the tray and used about 8 ft lbs.

BTW, the new batch of pans is here. We are trying a different powdercoating texture; a wrinkle finish (like the FD pans) instead of the glossy finish, which required too much prep work. If you guys want to get another GB going, let me know. Same deal as before: $299. Current retail is $350...for a while it was $399, when we were in danger of running out. The $299 price includes the O-rings, pan bolts, center engine mount bolts and instructions. Shipping is a flat $20 anywhere inside the U.S. via FedEx Ground. I can also for a deal on the FD pans, if there is enough interest. Something like $399, but don't hold me to it just yet; I need to crunch some numbers and talk to my suppliers (the FD pans are a partnership deal with another company).
Let me know...
We are actually ready to do another GB, if you guys are interested. The new batch of pans is done, baffles welded in, powdercoated, trays CNC laser cut, etc. Just today the engine mount bolts showed up. And any day now, we will receive the o-rings. I have three kits in boxes and fully ready to ship. Once the rest of the o-rings show up, I will have about 30 more in stock. Price will be $299 plus shipping again, if you can get three or more orders lined up. I can take non-refundable $50 deposits, for those who don't have all the money lined up right now, with up to 45 days to pay the balance. If you can't pay or change your mind, I can apply the deposit to another purchase but there will be no refunds. Use it or lose it.
That appears to be three, which would be enough to make this thing happen (again). If you guys are serious, I will process your orders and get the ball rolling. As soon as the third payment is made, I will start shipping pans. The pans are boxed and ready to go.
You can make payments by Paypal <sales@pineappleracing.com>, over the phone by Credit Card (call us at 503-233-3878 during business hours) or by placing an order on our web site online shopping cart. The online cart won't reflect the discount, but I can adjust the order total before processing as long as I know you are in the group buy. DO NOT place an order online without FIRST stating HERE that you are part of the Group Buy. If I receive an online order and can't match the name to a declared participant, you won't get the discount.

I will also go ahead and say that we can combine both FD and FC pans for the Group Buy. Three TOTAL pans in any combo to get a GB going. FC pans will be $299 plus shipping, FD pans will be $399 plus shipping. Shipping will be $20 via FedEx Ground in the USA. Overseas shipping at cost.
For those making a $50 non-refundable deposit, if for any reason you find yourself unable to pay the balance for the oil pan by the end of 60 days, I am willing to let you apply the deposit towards another purchase from us of $50 or more.
