The 10w7 runs best around 500A. I'm going to stick with JL Audio and get their 500/1. They offer black and silver finishes. I haven't decided on the door speaker amp yet. I'll be installing two MB Quart QSF216 Nano componet setups. One in the doors and the other in the rear pockets above the storage bins. I'd like to get the door setup done soon while I'm building the wiring harnesses. I'll most likely go with another JL amp to match the 500/1.

I ended up with a 500/1 and a 450/4 for mine. Couldnt sound better, imo.

Lightened? I'm curious since there is no metal removed from the sides as expected. Then again, the reliefs can be considered 'lightening' as well.

Do you happen to know the before and after weights of the rotors?

I can ask Gary, he might know the weights. How do you like your new motor? What benefits do you get with the rx-8 eccentric shaft?

Yes, please ask. My rotors are also lightened and I'd like to compare weights...

My new motor won't be ready until next month sometime. I've been collecting parts for months now and can't wait to get it back on the road! I plan to post a thread with all the details of the build when it's done.

RX-8 e-shaft: I needed a new one it's cheaper and lighter than the 3rd gen's.

You can see the material that's been removed from the rotor, i've seen it called 'scalloping.'

Yes, but if you send rotors in to be lightened that is not the material that is removed. Your pic shows scalloping/beveling/port phasing/flame relief?, etc, which I mentioned could be considered lightening in and of itself.

Here's a pic of lightened rotors found in another thread

...and one that has been lightened and port phased by CLR Motorsports

I asked Gary for the rotor weights, he didn't know but he said he'll talk to Mark at JHB and find out.

I've been wanting to spruce up my interior, especially in the seat dept. I think I found my next seats. A pair of BRIDE stradia carbon/kevlar upholstered in the graduation fabric. The silver to black pattern should compliment the silver c.f. interior trim. I'm planning on changing the floor mats to the same graduation logo that match the seats. Notice the lower bolsters of the stradia model vs. the gias, should make for an easier entry and exit. Not that I'm hurting on door clearance anymore. Also here's a pic of tial's new bov design. Looks like I'll be ordering a pair of these as well. I've been accumulating some other items and I'll post pics as things start showing up. I should have the turbos and stainless housings in feb or march. With these short days and conflicting work schedules it's slow going on the build. Oh well, good time to put in overtime to get the parts I want.

Be sure to find that seat locally and sit in it. You might find it's too small. That's why I went with Sparco Evo2 seats. I have to Mod the Door panel and make some pretty complicated seat mount brackets.

Here's a body Kit for you, Greddy's new skin.

Ahh, The super greddy 3 from RE Amemiya, not feeling it. I'm still sold on the Feed widebody with the super greddy 7 rear setup. The one in my avatar. I did go with the craftsquare mirrors, they're on the way!

There was an R34 at a car show last month that had them on. Nice mirrors, though they did move when touching as expected.

I wonder if you put some locktite in the pivot mechanism if it would help. I ordered the A-pillar mounted style (pictured above), but with the aluminum/carbon mirrors to match the interior. Also ordered the blue anti-glare german lenses. These will be bright against the gregrio silverstone paint but should blend in the brushed HRE's.

Gregrio Silverstone has the right tone for blending in black carbon fiber, door trim, silver carbon, and even brushed alum. I'm going to have the engine bay and the underside of the Feed hood sprayed while the engine is being rebuilt.

Well the Craft Company rear canards showed up today! I'll get some more pics up soon. I'll be changing these to twin weave to match everything else. So far the carbon fiber wrapped parts going on the car are...
Feed vented hood
Feed side skirts
Feed adjustable spoiler (center deck)
Feed 3pc front bumper canards
Splitters for front bumper (mounted underneath)
Craft Company rear canards
And the lower deck on the Re Amemiya Greddy 7 rear bumper.
Silver carbon interior trim pieces
Silver carbon Craftsquare mirrors

The movement is not within the pivot, but the mirror body and arm. Only thing you can do is attach small lead weights to the inner mirror body to change it's point of natural frequency (violent shake). Would have to do some trial and error testing to get it right. Good looking mirror though.

One of my orders from RHD Japan came in today, so add a pair of Feed carbon fiber door handle covers to the above list. The Craftsquares, I ordered thru Auto RND and could take up to 8 weeks. Special order only- $$$! Rishie gave me a good price on them.

I already have the Feed door handles, these are the real carbon fiber overlays to upgrade the handles from the carbon looking paint. Double sided tape is provided, however-I think I'll add a stronger adhesive. Don't want to lose these to wind or thieves. Also pictured are the top and bottom shots of the Craft Co. rear canards. I'll need to change them to twin weave carbon. I've got some more stuff arriving soon and pics to follow.
