My FD build
i dont think its required, and if a cop stops you driving that car, i highly doubt that they will think about the center brakelight, not to mention your regular run of the mill cop isnt gona know any different, not like they know the cars as well as we do
I've been researching different materials for the custom turbo manifold and have decided to go with inconel for it's fatigue and corrosion resistance. The price is a lot higher then stainless steel, but I want the best for this build. There's a possibility I'll have this done within the next few months.
I actually found pics of the titanium lever and shift **** installed on someone else's car.
I like how the endtanks and piping are configured on this setup, very similar to what I'm looking to accomplish.

They say, "good things come to those who wait". FD Newbie and Purerx7 are reproducing the discontinued Rotary Run Racing sleek lights. Hopefully these materialize, as I've always wanted to incorporate these into my build. On the Endless FD you'll notice that the inner light has been removed to supply the engine bay with some fresh air. Just what I want to do. I'll have to keep my eyes open for some quality lighting unless they beat me to it.

Well, good news! I just got a call from the shipping company that my super Greddy 7 rear bumper kit will be delivered this week. I hope it gets here undamaged. I purchased it in sept., so it's been a long 3 months. I also spoke with Gary, and he's hoping to get started on the manifold soon. He's built a new shop, so my project has been on hold. The prototype manifold will be constructed of 321 stainless, but I'm still interested in Inconel for the final version. Got one inconel manifold quote for around $5000, still shopping.
Here are some ideas I'm working out in the interior in the meantime. Recover the center console in black leather with red stitching to match my new seats. Will also compliment the red guage needles. Here's what I'm thinking...
Bride stradia with graduation logo fabric to go with all the silver carbon fiber. The handles are even rotor shaped! And one other change, I'm going to do a 5 speed swap.
Here's just a few of the bumper with the light pods taped on. The kit came with a carbon fiber diffuser, reverse light and bracket, wiring with connectors, instructions, hardware, grill assy. riveted on, light housings installed in the pods and the bumper.
I've got a long way to go before it looks like this, but it's one less thing to purchase. Thanks again Omar, you saved me a ton of $! I'll have some pics of the other parts up shortly, stay tuned...
I purchased them from another forum member in the classifieds section. They are Feed replicas, paid $100 for them. Real Feed lenses are going for $230 a pair on RHDJapan.com these days. Do a search, someone here makes these in different color tints. I don't remember who it was, guessing it might be evo-r?
Here's an old pic of the rear bumper with the Veilside kit attached. I always missed the rear fins after I removed them, the new bumper returns the look that I like. Another bonus is the exhaust relocation option because I was always cleaning carbon soot off the bumper and worrying about it melting/ catching on fire. Fabricating the new dual exhaust to merge out the center should be fun. I want the look of the last pic, but instead I plan to have the piping come into the center from both sides. The exhaust tip should look very close to the pic.
I'm going to swap to manual, in fact I just contacted redlinegoods.com to make me the shift boot, brake lever boot and console. I need all the parts to do the swap-accepting donations!!!
Here's the rear diffuser that came with the kit. It's constructed of fiberglass and JDM plain weave c.f. I'll be rewrapping it in twin weave to match everything else eventually. Another thing I'll have to do is eliminate any gaps in the wheel fender to keep road debris from filling the diffuser up.
I'm impressed with the kit, here's a pic of the wiring harness to connect the lights. Plug and play- works for me! Here's the reverse light housing and the mounting bracket that I wont be installing. And here's one of the diffuser brackets. All hardware is included.
Hopefully I'll be able to mount the Craft Company rear canards without any modifications. I only know of one other bumper here in the States, here's a pic of it's install showing how the diffuser attaches.
