250 isnt too much for an intercooler .. now if you wanna be specific and say an intercooler from a brand name thats made for 500+ hp.. in my experience under 350hp an ic is an ic mine was 90 bucks shipped my buddies was 120 and then those were run on the cheapo aluminum kits on ebay that are 100 bucks i just beaded the ends and run silicon couplers and tbolts .. the design of an ic is so hard to mess up that unless your getting some behemoth or you want the brand name to keep your car looking cool .. then its a waste..

The install is a bitch. First off you have to remove and trim the bumper. Then the raditor has to be relocated and you have to use thier brackets. (This is where the extra cash comes into play; I hope the brackets they supply work. ) Then you have to relocate the power steering lines. You might have to cut and extend the raditaor fan electrical lines. Mine were rally tight and pulling hard to fit so I cut and re-soildered in an extra 12" of wire .You may or may not want to do that. It's going to be a stretch for them to fit if you don't but it might make it. You will have to cut or remove the bumper reinforcement bar. I had to trim some of the frame for the turbo side charge pipe to clear around the radiator...

I can keep going but you will find out for yourself. It's far from a drop in install. I think it took me a whole weekend to do it and I am pretty handy with the tools etc.
Just plan to get knee deep is my only advice.

Yep I expected most of that. From most of the installs I've done with other cars I think this should be a mildly fun job- And not too dificult compared to just the other intercoolers I've done.

I was just making sure I hadn't missed anything from anyone elses install stories.

And yeah I guess I'll see how cheap of a kit it is but like I said this is the premeir sample kit so its really cheaper than whole sale from this company.

Sounds like you have the right attitude anyway. I don't know that I would say it's a fun job but hey man if you are in the mood I suppose you could say that. Good Luck Josh.

well I was supposed to come back sunday but one thing leading to another (hottest girl ever!) and we came back on monday. I started the install thursday night and got back to it on monday and tuesday night. It is now finished with the exception of the underpannel being put back on. So far no over heating but it is amazingly cold.

You can't get away with saying that unless you back it up with pics.
