Hehe yeah, that was the one. It's loud as hell but sounds so nice. I waved at you but I dunno if you saw. It'd be cool to stop by sometime, just gimme a call first so I can be sure to be there (we eat lunch too, but no set time really). 337-2490 is my cell. I'll be there monday if you wanna stop by.

The guy cut part of the back of the vette off so it's shortened, and it looks amazing. It stays at the shop, so you can see it monday if you come by. Lemme know if you're coming.

Those wheels look nice zach, I like em. Are you going to any autox's before the next vmsc one?

No, next autoX for me is the VMSC one. I need to fix a broken sway bar mount before I do anything.

I call you this week if I can get out of the office to see the shop.

Any of you guys interested, I run most of the events at ACU-4 in VA. I will tell you it is an awesome autocross site. Huge, flat, and right on the beach so when it is hot, you still have the breeze off the Chesapeake Bay. If you haven't run any events there, you should.....

Get there early if you don't pre-register and you can get a spot, but event if you think you might go, you need to get on the access list by midnight Tuesday. Go to the web site and send an email like it says. The event is the 20th BTW too.. It is the Sunday, like normal.

I was thinking about going to ACU-4, but I can't afford the gas to get out there. I guess I'll be waiting till the next VMSC event. Btw, does anyone know when registration opens for it?

What's the status on 2nd gens at CAP? I need a front sway bar link mount. I guess it couldn't stand the roads downtown but for so long. Either that or it fractured slightly when I hit the pot hole of death and failed later.

4 sale

I am selling my 1988 Mazda RX-7 because Im not finacially fit enough to start the project I once dreamed of. I am selling this car because I am looking for a more confortable car that holds more than two. I am not in any hurry to sell, but If anyone is interested let me know by calling me at 8046879296 or emailing me at ( MattThornton1986@msn.com ).
I am located in Richmond, Va.
Looking to get 2300 OBO- Willing to be negotiable, also up for trades.

Now the Car:

1988 Mazda Rx7 N/A Model (GXL)
-Black (Paint in Good/Excellent Condition with minor scratches here and there)
-5 Speed Transmission
- Cd Player that is in good working Condition
-Pioneer Speakers
-Exterior is in Good/Excellent Condiotion with one minor dent above the tailight. Its about Golf Ball Size.
-Interior is in Good Condition with one tear in Driver Side Seat and some stains in carpet. All interior is in the car.
-Passed New Inspection
-Drives Cleanly, strarts right up.
-190,000 Miles on Car.
-Needs A/C Belt.
-DBS Wheels
-Tires in Good/Excellent Condition
-Shifts Smoothly
-Cruise Control, Power Windows,Power locks, Alarm System, Power Sun Roof
-Drivers Side Door Handle is very hard ti open for some reason. We think when the lock was put in it wasnt screwed in because the lock is pushed in. It opens fine from the inside. Thats the really only problem. It does leak some oil, but hasnt effecected the way the car runs. I just add oil when needed. plz leave a voicemail if i am unable to pick up..and is in the area come check it out...call whenever.

Thats the car, if you have any other questions let me know and I will be completley honest with you. Thankyou

Hey guys, my motor died.

Right around 120K, it feels like it dropped compression on one of the rotors, lots of black smoke/shaking, I wasn't even accelerating when it happened.

Compression test tommorow morning, I guess there goes the bronze slipstreams....

Bah. ******* bah.

My paranoia is great. The map sensor hose popped off, triggering the ECU to run ~80% injector duty cycles. It then fouled the plugs and it wasn't firing.

Holy ***** I'm happy. (

I've been a lil too busy to post.

Got the old wheels back on the car and balanced (since a good chunk was missing out of one wheel). Finally got around to swapping the steering knuckle/spindle/hub out, a new tie rod is probably going to be upcoming, the boot was torn in half (before I fucked it up even more). Tossed in those bright sylvania lights for ***** and giggles...

New clutch is still holding good, I need to get a wideband and do some fine tuning . It's running waaay rich at the moment, and it's probably causing it to spool a few hundred rpms later. Seemed to do fine playing with a WS6 on the way home today, 5-8K RPM there was no lost ground...but everything below...

Ok, so which one of you drifts a black primered first gen with a V8 in it, a 5.0 emblem on the side, and no pop-up headlights?

A couple of my friends saw you out serving up all kinds of ownage at VMP a while ago, and I went to the last little drift thingy they held, but was disappointed to not see you there. It was rained out anyhow.

Show yourself! :-P

I thought I'd just say hi, I just bought my first RX7 last week. Although I have seen Zack out on AutoX courses alot. I'm currently a member of VMSC too, so I'll be bringing my RX7 down when its track ready.

I thought you already ordered the GC stuff? So whats next? You had FWD, now RWD, will 4WD keep you happy?!?

Brian, I havn't had a chance to get out long enough to stop by. I've been taking 0-30 min. lunches trying to make up for lost time since I have to leave at 3:30 for my summer class. I still have your number...

I KNEW you were gona say that! Well for one thing the tires for one thing, the PO has 185's on it, it's supposed to have 205's, so I have a set of Yokohama AVS ES100's on the way from tirerack.com. Also I wanted to put in strut brace front and rear and a set of adjustable shocks and maybe a camber adjuster while I am at it. The other reason was another car (69 Karman Ghia) I started it as an autX project car, I want run that at least once. I've already got someone lined up to buy the KG at the end of the summer for the same price I payed for the RX7. He is also a long standing member of VMSC and a friend. I am planning to run the RX7 in the last 2 events this year.

oh yeah there is also this really weird, girly pinstriping on it that has to come off, it is highly reflective and sorta holographic, you get sort of a rainbow effect when light hits it. I do not want any rainbow stuff on my car Any thoughts on how to get it off? its glued on, I tried using a heat gun yesterday (old hair dryer) maybe 3M adhesive remover - I believe that stuff doesnt hurt paint.

Hey man, smaller tires are more fun anyway! You don't have to go so fast to get the thing sliding around.
Mike, you remember racing my car with the stock 185's on? Now that was fun!
