There was an S4 auto car with the trans removed at Circle about a month ago. Jackpot, right!?!?!

left the silly 58mm at home - I mean really, how often do you use it???

Man, I've been out of the loop for a while. I'd love to do a G-force some time. Life outside of work is kinda non-existent right now, though. For now it's all because of a big audit coming up, but I'm sure after that it'll be something else. It's always something.

I've managed to get the engine in the GTU despite working every day. I should be close to startup and back to autoX soon!

Sure do miss the track.

This past Sundays autoX is probably one of the best I 've been to despite being at Manchester. It was not confusing, it was fast in the right places (I topped out 2nd gear in one section -75mph-) , and it was techincal in the right places.
July 31'st event at VMP is now open for online registration.

glad to hear they have found ways to utilize the parking lot in a more fun and understandable manner.

It was a Richard West creation, he did the only other track layout at Manchester that worked (which I missed). I also met a new RX7 guy named Jason, he's got a nice '88 vert with some show and go

one of the cleanest engine bays I've ever seen

Damn, I didn't even know there was an autoX. Nice looking engine bay! Looks like new.

Here is my setup as of last week. Not so clean, but it's got some cool stuff in there.

yellow zip ties must add a ton of horsepower

Zach, are you going to build some type of heat shield below the carb to prevent it from heat soaking? Any type of cold air/ducted air < air filter?

Just curious

besides the zip ties, he had removed the air pump, CAI of unknown origin, RB headers, high flow cat, and RB exhaust on back and he had also gone to an e-fan - there was some other stuff too which I can't remember at this point

Now that you mention it, I could fab up something to deflect the heat from the header away from the intake manifold. The carb is actually in the perfect place to take in air from the hood scoop.

that too. what i was referring to though, was a shield between the top of the motor and the bottom of the carb, to deflect the rising heat of the engine from "heat soaking" the carb.
