Autox was fun to watch yesterday. Wish I could have raced, but I was at the doctor's during the driver's meeting, and I sprained my ankle. Good news though, I might be getting a Mazdaspeed Protege on tuesday. My dad is checking insurance today, and if it isn't outrageous, then I'll be getting it. Talk about autox machine ;o. They have sweet colors, I'm leaning towards Laser Blue Mica, but the Titanium Grey looks good, too. I'm praying insurance isn't that bad. I heard some companies are just marking it as a normal protege.

Btw, did you win the bet, mike?

I've been quiet lately, but I've just been pissed at myself and my car...

I got a reckless ticket a while back and just had court today...driving school!

Note: Cops on their way into work in their own cars will radio you in if your doing something bad...like passing them...near triple digits...

2003.5 Laser Blue Mica Mazdaspeed Protege

Can't wait to get 600 miles on it, but I might wait till 1000 to autox it just to be safe. Sucks about your ticket Josepi. I've luckily never had a ticket (or else parents sell the car.) Good job on winning the bet mike ;O

Very true Joe.

I have good news....my brother and I did a compression check on my old car (which now belongs to him) and the compression is fine, right around 100 on all 3 sides for front and rear. I am 99% sure that his aux. ports are sticking and his VDI may not be working. High end power is lacking on that car to say the least. He is ordering new gaskets, new vac. lines in the next week or so. Zach, didn't you do this one time? I am thinking we can do it in a day or so if his A.D.D. can let him focus for a little while to help me out.

Things seem dead around here....we all need to get motivated and go to the next autocross or go to a bar sometime to talk cars. Maybe that will kick us all in the butt and get this thread going like it was back in the day.

Yeah, I'll be at the next autox with the msp, but I won't be able to race (not enough miles on it.) I'm trying to get pictures posted in a second. I'm still up for a meet even though I don't drive the rex anymore :o

Be wary, they're pretty big, but angelfire normally loads quickly. Lemme know whatcha think.

My car has issues, she doesn't like me changing gears from first to second if the revs are higher than 4500rpm's, the rear right wheel is cambered out, plus i think i may brake rotors are warped. God its great to own a sports car.

I might go, I'm not sure yet. Supercharger on the vert? I didn't know you had that! I need miles on my car, so it would be a nice drive. What're the details? Time/price. Is it a car show or drag racing? I thought it was racing.

Its just my little project car.I blew the motor the first time i hooked the S.C. up,so this time i am being a little more careful.I am going to take it easy until i get a dyno run and tuning. Its not show or drag, just fun.I bought the S.C. kit from a buddy in idaho, about a year ago for $2000.00.So far it has cost me a rebuild, cartech R.R.F.P.R.,walboro fuel pump,550 inj.,and lots of time and patience.Be at the show this weekend,i will be showing it,the body needs some work,im just not satisfied with it.Be at the show this weekend and take a look. Its a 88 vert supercharged, sparco torino seats with 17" konig imagines.

Its both, show and drag racing. The drag racing will be going on all day, with the show. Then you have the bass off, bikini contest, wet T-shirt contest, neon contest, draggin contest, and a wild after party at the campgrounds. Its all in fun, i had a blast last year and got plenty good coverage.

good news, we went to tunner tuesdays at mojo's on carry street last night and met up with our friend mike (guy who organizes the US DRIFT events on the east coast. he said they are doing another drift event like last time. all day, as many runs as you want. he said hes trying to work a deal out with some tire place to bring out a mounting/balancing machine and maybe $5 a tire. its goign to be November 15th (its a saturday).

he also said nopi wanted to do drift events, but all the top drift guys laughed and said **** no, well nopi contacted him, and he said they are going to be doing us drift events at dinnwiddie next year. he said there will be 8-10 events next season, with 6 of them definately being within realistic driving time away from richmond.

yall should come out, the events are really cool, and you see some badass driving. you definately get alot of seat time as well. ill definately be there.

as do i!

i wonder if i will ever have the cash for this damn microtech. Joe, I have a question about the LT12. I can hook a wideband directly up to that can't I? Is that essentially the only difference aside from being able to run a 20B?

Orange you glad I said something.
Not dead to the world, just the internet. No comp at the apt yet, or time to get on the internet.
BTW, I'm bringing an Abercrombie hottie with me.
