........

wutsup? I'm in school right now and am supposed to be doing a resume for beowulf. I was bored, so I got on here. Good news!! I now work at Bill Britt Mazda and Volkswagen, so if anyone needs parts, I get a pretty good discount. I can get rotor housing for something like 389, and the intermediate housing is 289. Convertible top is 515 I think. I have to wait 2 more months before I can get the discount, so clue me in on what you guys need.

1.1, I can't wait to see that beast in action. If you need any help or would not mind a spectator sometime next week or this weekend let me know.

i cant either . i remember when we did my dad's car, i wanted a fast car as well. and thought it would be cool, although a long shot to have the fastest car in school... well, i think i might be there, and if not, pretty damn close. (not that i want to make everything a competition or seem cocky)

but yea, if you would like to stop by this weekend while we do the wiring, just pm me. im getting my girlfriend to help put the rear end in tomorrow, should be interesting..

that sucks about the deer brian time to start looking at junkyards...

well, the rx2.3... ive been keeping track of all the costs on excel, and heres what i came up with as the final cost (doenst include the exhaust system ill need)

everything came out to $787.40, plus i need a driveshaft that i was quoted ~$60, and a fuel pump, which i think im getting for free off a turbocoupe. $847ish isnt that bad, considering my dad spent 2600 on his conversion, and we all know who would win in a race . i dont think its that bad at all, considering the price includes new clutch, new wg actuator, slave cylinder, suspension (gsl-se), boost and a/f gauge, mounting cups for the gauges, clutch mastercylinder (new), and of course $20 motor . i should be able to knock out the rest of the finacial part of the projoct with my next paycheck, and hopefully 2 weeks or so till shes driveable !!!!

I've been extremely busy lately, but I'll give you an update of what I've been doing:

RX-7 project: I'm heading a team of four Mechies working on some design issues in getting the most out of the engine. We're completely redesigning the intake and exhaust system, possibly changing length depending on RPMs. We're also designing an electronic 6 port system and, of course, porting the hell out of it. We're not including anything else in the project (suspension, aerodynamics, ect.), but we will do other mods if time/money permits. This is alot of fun but it comes with about 6 hours worth of paperwork per week.

Manufacturing class: The project for this class is to build a go-kart with a 5 person team. Of course, my kart has to be outrageous, so I designed it as big as they would let us (6 feet long) and we aquired a 250cc v-twin 5 speed motorcycle engine that we got to run after it was totaled 2 years ago. The go-kart frame is almost complete and we've pulled the engine and started designing a few things such as shift linkage, engine mount, drive system, ect.

Other than that I'm taking 3 other classes and working between 25 and 30 hours a week trying to keep the bills paid.

Hope everyones doing alright and everyones rexies runnin like they should.

You guys get hit bad down there? wasn't too bad up here. My friends house got missed by a matter of inches by a 30 ft pine. Only damage was the gutter was bent about 3/4". Just wondering if any of you live across the street from my bro, David. He says that someone living across the street from him has a vert with a blown engine.

I actually live in Suffolk, but we got hit pretty hard. Some people may be a month before they get power back. There are 2 houses in my neighborhood that are totals. One was fortunately empty during the storm or I am sure there would have been no survivors. I personally lost some trees, but they all fell in safe areas (almost got a '64 Corvette I am keeping for a friend) and soem other minor damage. We did not have any utilities for a few days, but now have everything back except for water.

i just got power back today...

the rx2.3 got hit in the storm, but nothing to bad. theres a 2.5'-3' wide tree that missed the car by about 2 feet, and one of the branches clipped the rear of the car. homeowners didnt cover it, and i dont have car insurance on the car, so im on my own for that.

2 other trees fell in my yard, on clipped the front gutter, and the other smashed the railing on my back porch. i have lots of pictures im going to post, i just cant get to my camera right now.

chesterfeild got hit pretty good. alot of my friends are still out of power. for the last 3 days, the people across the street had power, but we didnt. its been a ROUGH week.

the 2.3 obviously had a delay, but now that we have power, im going to mount my FMIC and radiator tomorrow, possibly other little things i can get done.

is anyone going to the autox this sunday? im hoping to run.

We just got power back last night. No cable still, so no internet. I took a lot of pictures, but then I lost the disposable camera at school today ;\. Anyway, one tree snapped in half and fell onto the road, taking out power lines. We had a lot of little stuff in the yard, but nothing major. One of my friend's houses was on the news, 10 trees down ;o. Anyway, I might autox sunday, not sure. Anyone know the 82 rx-7 that signed up? I gotta go cause I'm not really supposed to be online here. Hope everyone is ok.
