It was bad ***! I've never had that much fun. There we're two spots where you could heel-toe from 3rd to 2nd gear.
You guys missed a good one!

My first gen is leaking oil...out of the bottom of the engine. Anyone have any clue what that might mean? Do I need a rebuild? If so, streetport here I come. Anyone know what this might mean?

Could be your oil pan that is leaking, kind of a pain in the *** to get off but would not require a rebuild by any means. Also check your oil cooler lines. If one lets go and you don't shut the engine off right away things get expensive...so I have heard.

Car's going to Jeff @ sportscar workshops in a few minutes. Yay. Btw, I saw a nice black FD parked in the village shopping center today. I left a note with this address on it and directions to this thread. Hope he finds it. I saw him driving it the other day, we waved :o. So if he posts here, welcome him! Also, we need to get a cruise sometime. If I organize one and plan all the details, will you guys come?

Jeff said I might need a new engine, but he'll look at it first thing tomorrow morning. :x. Anyway, where would the best place be for everyone to meet? Maybe Thomas Dale in Chester? Anyone have any good roads to drive? If you take Robious way down for a while towards Powatan, it extends pretty much forever and it's a nice 90-100MPH road. We could meet @ Thomas Dale, cruise back on the highway, and then go down Robious, then eat food at a restaurant somewhere. Anyone else have any suggestions? Of course, I'd need a car first, but if I don't have one at the time I'll shoot some footage for a video, that could be fun. Heck, maybe I'll do that even if I have a car. Anyone wanna take me? :o.

A crusie sounds good but remember, not everyone is from Southside. Perhaps a meeting somewhat more central, like downtown. A cruise down Riverside Drive sounds appealing too ;-)

It sucks down here. It's just a 15 mph road with lots of police, and not twisty at all.

Maybe we could start in a big parkinglot somewhere near riverside on the west end, then do riverside drive, then cruise down to southside and do robious way out, or we could jump on the highway and have some highway fun, or we could terrorize the streets and just cruise around richmond :o. Anyone have any input?

i would definately be up for it, maybe some g-force afterwards?

last night was.. ****.. me and joe (bmw guy) and my friend marcus were at the wawa down the street from my house getting air in our tires about to go do some spirited driving and or drifting when we noticed a cop across the street clocking people. we get air and so on and we see the cop turn his lights on and pull out. as we are watching him (hoping to see someone get pulled) he comes over to the wawa. we thought he was going to say something about loitering (however you spell it) because we were taking a while to get air. he comes over and asks whose red car that is, i tell him mine. he seems pretty pissed off and tells joe he needs to come over here to hear this blah blah blah. basically, he tells us hes has 38 complaints on our plates (which i know for a fact is bullshit) in parking lots and so on for "racing". he went on to say that if "we chirp another tire in chesterfield county, hes going to slap so many points on our record, we wont be able to ride a bike". his exact words. he also went on to say that our cars would be given a safety inspection on the spot and if something doesnt pass, he will consider it a safety hazard and take the tags and tow it. we talked for a little while and once he was about to go he asked if everything was understood and so on, and i told him i didnt appreciate the threat, but whatever. he says its not a threat and he has every right to do those things.

joe also mentioned a cop that followed him for literally an hour the other night. he finally stopped in a parking lot and the cop parked across from him. joe called 411 and said chesterfield county non-emergency police number, and the cop pulled off. i mean, joe was trying to loose him by going into parking lots and waiting, and when he pulled out, the cop was right behind him. the cop knew exactly what he was talking about and told joe he was waiting for him to do somethign stupid that night.

ill admit, we have gone to some parking lots and practiced drifting, but 38 complaints is WAY out there. he mention plates to 2 other cars that i didnt know who they were, but he says take it as a warning. but i really didnt appreciate the way he was threatening us when he calls it a threat or not.

i think im going to go to the dmv today and get my plates changed, that way it they do get another report with my plates, ill have different ones. just incase people are hearing the ****, and just assuming its me and joe, ill have proof of when i got my plates changed.

zach, you know cops, what do you think of this?

i just got a little pissed when he said if they get another complaint they are going to go out of their way to hit us with everything they can. what i was thinking is put the stock exhaust back on and get some new tires, then they cant do **** to me. who knows.. this blows *** though. i feel like im being watched now, which i am. ive never had a ticket, and ive never been pulled in chesterfield county, but if i were to get a ticket, i really DOUBT i can get out of it with "38 complaints".

Complaints?

WORTHLESS.

Calmly explain that any complaint could be made easily by a person who doesn't like you. Since no officer witnessed anything, he's barking up the wrong tree. Do you remember anything about the cop? Name/badge #/car #? Call up the ches PO and let their supervisor catch a piece of your mind.

Na, going east out of richmond thru varina and then it's a nice curvy wide road. It's a scenic route that heads towards williamsburg. Hop on a free ferry to cross a river, then back up route 10 east towards hopewell/95N would be a good loop.

I wonder if the pics are still up...i'm gonna search!

yea, we got his name. he offered a card (which i should of took).

he said with 38 complaints, some of which people actually drove to the station, he has more than he needs to give us a ticket. whether it will go through in court or not... i dont know.

i was thinking about complaining, i probably will. i dunno.
