haha.. it ran a 15.5 @ 88mph.. definately didnt think it would do that bad. it was REALLY nice off the line. no burn out, no launch, just wait till green and go. it just died off in the top end.

and the third gen i beat... 17.4... it was an auto and he said it had a bad turbo. it still had the 60 day tags on it and he looked like he was younger than me. kinda an embarassment to rx7's if you ask me. i know i wouldnt of been out there running my car with a bad turbo like that.

do you guys deal with the richmond, va area(I live in Fredericksburg)? I'm looking for people that know rx-7's to help me put my 88 vert back together. It's mostly interior, and I am at a loss with it. many parts, and the haynes manual sucks. Everyone welcome to help!! but I guess for $200, I got more than I paid for.

The entire factory service manual for your car is available for free download at www.fc3s.org ...
Welcome to our little thread!

I picked up the N1 dual on sunday...clean as it can be. DP/MP is supposed to arrive ~30th.

Waiting sucks.

Patience danielson.

Damn 15.5? Was it the driver?

I changed ONE of my toe steer bushings this weekend. If it wasn't for Rob's finnesse, the car would still be in pieces. It wouldn't have been bad if it wasn't 800000 degrees outside, if everything wasn't seized up, and if I didn't have a 2 star hangover. The passenger side half shaft is siezed inside the aluminum 'cassette' that holds the toe bushing so I couldn't get that one out. I'm gonna try using a puller to push it out next time, since I have to take it all apart again anyway to fix a loose control arm.
The bushings themselves weren't too bad to get out. I had to use a big vice, 2 sockets, and a very long torque bar to get the bushings pressed out.

Finnesse?!! I think me calling it names is what made it go back together. Let me know when you guys are going to work on that exhaust, I will give a hand if you need it. I am interested is seeing how loud it is going to be.

Anyone have 5 lug wheels to sell for cheap? My 7 is sittin on 3 donuts and I funky rim. 2 donuts are flat, and the rim is not holdin air. I've definitely learned a little from this thread. I've finally read all 51 pages(yay). Also, anyone lookin for stereo equipment? Got subs, an 1800 watt amp, 2 alpine cd decks, and a 10 year old urban 4-channel amp. Willing to trade for wheels/tires. Also lookin for a used cat-back system for under 100 bucks. don't care if it's stock or not. The vert doesn't have mufflers, and a whole cat-back is probably cheaper than buying new mufflers and getting someone to weld it on.

thanx for the offers guys, but I found a set of 16x7.5's in a different thread, but I'll let you know, since you're so close, compared to st. louis. I really need a catback and a top though. If anyone sees one for cheap let me know!!

Man I'd love to have a black interior...and an S5...and a turbo. Blah.
David, you guys get that motor in yet?
Michael, I'd say your project has been moving pretty damn fast since you started. My 1st gen project is creeping along, especially since I don't have a garage yet.
Hey, Rob, did those jerks call you yet about the garage? I'm ready to fork up some money so we can start tearing stuff apart. $30 a month is nothin as long as we don't go to Tiki's every weekend.

we got some crush and run (gravel type material) delievered by a dump truck today. as the guy was leaving, he wasnt paying much attention and hit my dad's fc. they yelled for him to stop, and he did, then proceeded to drag it 2-3 feet sideways. it was a horrible sight... but to the point. the company is paying for it. but im now looking for a s5 passanger tail light, white rear bumper cover, and stock spoiler. anyone have these they want to sell? it would be appreciated.
