Plans, clean the hell out of it, fix some blemishes, drive it everyday
I only had to borrow like the last 10% to buy the car so it'll be completely paid off in a couple of months
The Nissans I want are Datsuns, like that yellow 240Z, i could see trading an FC for one of those
I've spent the last 6 months tracking down a 3 series to buy, then this one showed up on our local craigslist a month ago.

CHESTER, Va. (AP) - A new technical center to rebuild engines for Mazda is open.
The company is making a $1.6 million investment in equipment and upgrades at the center, where it rebuilds rotary engines for the RX-8 sports car. Mazda announced in February that it had chosen Chesterfield for the 133,000-square-foot facility.
Robert Davis, the company's senior vice president for quality, research and development says it is the only operation of its type in North America.
Mazda has hired 20 people to work at the center, which also houses a technical call center and will have training programs for the company's dealers.

Read it again they ONLY work on rotaries, although it looks like they are only officially doing RX-8 motors.
Now I imagine after they've been open awhile and these guys have some experience under their belt they might wanna do some side work rebuilding RX-7 motors. Having a whole big crop of new rotary engine builders in this town would bode well for us.
Someone needs to find the number of this shop, there are enough 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen RX-7's in Richmond alone i think to warant maybe even a Mazda approved rebuilding program for us enthusiats.
Richmond could become rotary rebuild central for the east coast.

Hello Richmond VA owners. I have been around a few years and haven't really met any richmond area owners. I have an 88 TII, it's red with black wheels if you see me. I live around Hull and 288 near the speed way.
Anyway, the 7 is down at the time and I am going to be rebuilding it myself and my need some help. Also, does anyone have any info about this new shop? I would like to call them up and see if they do our cars.

as of right now they are only doing Renesis rebuilds
though the guy mentions possibly doing RX-7 motors in the future
either way you will have to go through a Mazda dealership to get your motor sent there as its a Mazda rebuilding facility and not some independent shop
Interesting happenings this coming Friday at the weekly Starbucks meet, several of the people from the rebuild shop will stopping by early on.

Just to give everyone heads up, check the page around noon, I need to make a final check up on the guys being able to come. Turns out some very high upper management guys from mazda japan are doing a surprise tour of the plant, some R&D guys and engineers, I just need to make sure they dont plan to take the 2 workers out that night while they are here.
If I post it will be before Noon tomorrow, If I DO NOT post anything then everything is still good, I am almost certain it is ok since its not a good move for them towards there customers.
Hopefully you wont here from me until you see me friday night with everyone.

Thanks to those who came out, sorry it was such a short visit but I hope you guys enjoyed meeting yoshii and master/mazda, they enjoyed it. It was nice to get them out of there hotel and let them meet some US owners and at the same time meet a few of you. Yoshii may return to an evenning meet again, the other co worker of mine said he is willing to bring him and drop in when the rest of the cars show up since its on his way, I pilled on 130 miles yesterday driving all over the place since they live opposite of me so it he will bring Yoshii next time.
