Richmond VA RX-7 Owners
Well im replacing my oil lines with some 3/16ths braided fuel lines.
progress made:
5th and 6th ports are clean/ish. Ima go through one last time with PB and towels to clean it real good.
Injector tips are sitting in MMO.
Intake has been scrubbed and MMO'd.
progress to be made:
replace gaskets. currently being shipped.
reassemble intake.
clean throttle body real good.
Now what else can i do while its disassembled to improve efficiency and or power. Should i apply a lube of some sort to the 5th and 6th port sleeves to prevent them from sticking?
Hopefully by wednesday i will have the 7 back together and on the road again, testing the 5th and 6th ports :p

While the braided hose may look cool, it is absolutely unnecessary. There is a thread somewhere describing how to make new lines that I have done, which works marvelous plus was much cheaper.
Here it is

Again, works very well, plus the teflon tubing should last forever.

ATM It was all i could find and it was 77c a foot. I'm not talking about braided steel hoses, it was braided PVC with fiberglass i think. Any who they're black and just a little too big so i left part of the old hose on and clamped the new hose on it.
but I do wanna sell the FC in one peice if i can, though taking some of the "goodies" off will lower the price some
then there are all the side items, many I've not even installed yet
that are available seperately
Borbet wheels w/ corded Hoosiers
Vert BBS meshies w/very good condition Bridgestone Potenzas
GTUs viscuous limited slip diff (4.33 final gear!)
Racing Beat torque brace
Racing Beat rear sway bar
Brembo front brake rotors (vented)
Bear Mountain rear Brake rotors (non-vented single hat type - pain in the *** to find btw)
MOMO pedals
Corksport SS brakelines w/red colored plastic jacket for the single pot brakes
of course I can throw some of these items to sweeten the deal if'n you meet my asking price, except not the VLSD that puppy costed me $400

I DO wanna buy it in one piece, whether or not you put the banner up is up to you. I've sent you a PM. More than likely I won't be too interested in any of said goodies except perhaps the sway bar and that VLSD!
yes i am but atm i have no money because of some of them surprise bills and having to put my older car back on the insurance. Somewhere somehow mazda done lost an entire crate of gaskets and the ones i needed were in that crate. Its been 2 weeks now and i want my car back on the road!
Also what do i use to seal the "plennum/dynamic chamber" gaskets. The ones i removed had some sort of adhesive on them.

If anyone is thinking about signing up for a autocross do so. If NASA doesn't get more people signing up they are going to have to cancel a lot of the remaining season.
You can view the schedule and sign up here.

NASA membership alsoleads to getting to do real track events, say down at VIR or Summit Point.
Plus you get a free subscription to Grassroots Motorsports magazine.
Hopefully Jon Felton (has 98 BMW M3 sedan) will show up to anoyher Friday Starbux, they are keepin him kinda busy.
Lol. So what do I do. I'm on the website, I see a button that says "Get Involved, Memberships." I click on it, and I see a button that says "Register" so I click on that. I see a button that says "Buy or Renew Membership." Seeing as how this part costs money, that's where I stopped... But as soon as I hit that button and pay that money, I get to go to the track and immediately start driving?

Scroll down to the desired event and click on "Registration"
Only one event is open for registration now, it is the Langley, VA event.
The others should start opening up very soon.

for a HPDE on a road course you will be getting an instructor and it'll be quite a bit more expensive than an autocross
now if you wanna get your feet wet for free the one that NASA is running at Langley speedway at the end of the month is free for anyone that's never done it before.
Blah... I wish I had a good car to track!
I also see that NASA is having some kind of training class thing on the 7th of September. Is that a good way to start? How often do those things happen?

if succesful you have instant side business
If had the tools and a garage I'd take a shot at it.
I've read everything Kevin landers has put up backwards and forwards.
It doesn't look all that hard to rebuild the core, the big pain in the *** is getting everything else off and then back on again in working condition.
