Zach McAfee Lives!

Now I suspect many of you are going "who the hell is this Zach guy and why should I care?"
Well if you look at the very first page you'll see he is the guy that started this thread. Anyway he was spotted this past Friday at someones bachelor party, this can also be confirmed by Robin.
So Robin are you going to really bring your LS-2 swapped FD out this Friday or what? Tell Zach I may have an interested party for that eninge but it's not me.
I'll be bringing the white FC with the cf hood out this Friday - though I may have to bungie strap the hood down since the Aerocatch latches aren't installed yet.

Yes, I will be there, finally!

I am working out the last of the bugs tomorrow night hopefully. Regardless, it is driveable so I will be there.

The address is in the first post. It's the one right next to the Huguenot Bridge.

VERY small turnout last night... I was kinda lonely...

I was laying on the floor with several ice packs on my back after moving everything out of a friends apartment and then moving most everything ut of my house. We started around 7 in the morning and finished at 7 that night.
I had honestly planned to be down there that night but by the time I got a shower in and went to get dinner it was 9:30.
I was kind of in a bad mood by that point anyway and very tired.
So I can spend some time this week cleaning up the white FC and figuring out how Im going to tie down the hood or maybe just bringi the black one - it was very good at hauling boxes this weekend.
My arms still ache a bit.

Anyway my apologies for the no-show.

Hey anyone going to see the Indy cars this coming weekend?

Moving's great ain't it? Sounds like it only gets better with age. I'll be moving for the 5th consecutive year in July.

The indy challenge was crazy. They started off with 24 or so cars and ended up with 14 or something... so basically, the only reason Kanaan won was because he was the only racer that still had a car.

I was right above turn 2 mouthing kisses at Danica.

OOh this gonna hurt but

OK it kills me to do this, but here it is.
I am officially selling the black ‘90 FC of mine.
150k miles, 5spd, GTU

Here is what I have on it:

Suspension:
-Racing Beat springs, adjustable endlinks, and front swaybar w/poly mounts
-Tokico Illumina adjustable struts
-Corksport front and rear strut tower braces
-2 new front lower swaybar mounts (on the lower control arm)

Brakes:
-new pads 2 years ago
-I have, but not installed yet a full set of brake rotors, still in their boxes
-Corksport stainless steel braided brake lines - (in new condition, still in packaging)

Drivetrain:
-all new shifter bushings
-new Exedy HD clutch
-Corksport SS braided clutchline
-new master and slave cylinders
-Trans replace w/used 1 year ago
-drive shaft replace w/used 2 years ago

Other New Stuff
-new dual pass all metal radiator
-new thermostat and housing
-new water pump (not a rebuilt unit either)
-Optima redtop battery
-rebuilt lighting switch with safety relay to keep it from burning out again (from Icemark), new lighting harness
-new catalytic converter
-custom 2.5" single catback exhaust
-Sylvania Silverstar headlights
-new NGK plugs and wires
-Sony Explode Stereo (not one of the tacky red ones)

I'd like to get $1500 with everything on there
or $1000 with all the goodies stripped off - I kept most of the original stuff I replaced so I could put all that back on, though I’d rather not
The AC works, the power mirrors work, the sunroof works, that hatch works.
There is a bunch of other stuff I've bought that I cant remember, I'll have to through the receipts.

Additionally for sale:
-rear Racing Beat sway bar w/poly mounts - $50 (new condition, never installed)
-Borbet Type "S" wheel with a corded set of Hoosiers on them - $300 (rare wheel, Borbet discontinued them 2 years ago, I used them as my autoX wheels, they weigh under 13 pounds)
It is still running and available for test drives after this weekend (as I will be out of town), it’ll be out in the driveway with a for sale sign on it though if anyone wants to stop by and look.
She’ll make a great parts or project car for someone.
Oh and there will be a new July inspection sticker on it next week.
If I happen to get nothing but lowball offers I will just keep it as a parts car for my other FC and part it out as well.

I haven't done it yet, but I bought two thin metal brackets at Lowe's for about 60 cents each. Planning on bolting them up underneath the chin and bending them up and bolting it to the bottom of the plate.

Dave, sucks dude. But maybe you'll finally have money to get those Aerocatches put in!

I've been told that it's technically not legal (as far as Inspections laws goes for the state of VA) so you will probably get pulled for it eventually, but most cops let it slide.

I would make sure it's secured somehow, the first time I went for a ride in Robin's old LS1 FC he nearly took my head off with front license plate he had sitting on the dashboard.

Well I have a second FC.
The black one I'm selling has a leaky coolant seal when the weather is cold.
So the car is cheap because right now it's best suited as a rebuild project or parts car.
I'd even consider a good offer on both cars and all the stuff I have for them.
I have an itch to pick up a FD again.

I also have 2 more cars (Miata and 325i).

I wouldn't doubt it. Robin is a genius. I wish I had an LS-2 FD. Maybe I should convert to LS-2 too!! Maybe drop in a super charger too -insert evil smile-

Nah, Robin's crazy and a genius, unfortunately I'm not (ok, maybe I'm crazy, but that's about it), I'll stick with rotary.
