You'll need to send away for that stuff. You're not going to find a local machine shop competent enough with rotaries to perform that work.

I'd suggest BDC. Look up his name on the forum and send him a PM. He can get that work done for you. He is considered one of the best in the rotary buisness at that machine work.

RP or PFS couldn't do it, or at least point him in the right direction?

I've never looked into any of that so I don't know.

I'd reccomend Kyle over at RP for the porting -- I'm pleased with the work he did on my FD's rebuilt engine.

RP or PFS might be able to do it but I've seen BDC's work first hand so thats why I recommended him. Top notch, worth sending away for.

BDC does do some top notch work. But Ray at PFS can do it for sure as well...and you dont gotta worry about sending it away and such.

Never heard of it. Rotary Resurrection however does excellent budget work and he uses BDC for porting and milling work.

Srry thats what i meant, yeh but they look pretty reasonable for prices, its just im sorta on a budget. I go to aviation maintenance school at national airport in DC i think i would be able to rebuild the short block my self(seeing i have a parts cleaner ext..) with Atkins rotor kit, its just i need to mill the rotors n port it also. What do you all suggest me send it in or do it my self. PS im only looking for 350-400 whp in the end is it necessary to go 3mm.

my turbo vert started up for like 2 seconds tonight... it was turning over and not starting so we decided to spray some starter fluid in it and it started up but would shut right back off... i dont think its getting gas to it so i am gunna replace the fuel pump and relay tomarrow. Anyone know any other things that would make it do that... i also dont think oil pressure ever built up?

Check all your main engine fuses before you go replacing stuff. Check your fuel pressure, that will tell you if the pump and relay are bad.

Definitely not necessary to go 3mm :P

If you're mechanically inclined, I'm sure you can manage the rebuild yourself. Otherwise, have an "RX-7 BBQ" and invite all of us over to help

Check voltage to the pump. Failing that, I have like, 5 fuel pumps . . .

It's usually voltage to the pump tho :P

Anyone know whats up with the Rockville Saturday night meet that used to be at Barnes & Noble? I know that it was moved up the street a bit earlier in the summer... I was bored and figured I'd swing by and see what was happening, but the place was completely deserted and a cop was hanging out.

(Now of course I can figure out the obvious conclusion, especially considering how many other cops I saw around, but was wondering if MoCo PoPo is bummed out on it or what...)

That sounds like the old RacersDen hang out spot. I don't know if they're doing those meets anymore. I think they moved to the McD's in Germantown.

What, Racers Den there?? Maybe in the stone age.

The Barns and Noble meets were the ricer meets, you know, off 355 and Randolph/Montrose?

*shrug* those are not my stompin' grounds. I hear it referenced alot, while it wasn't an RD "meeting place" i think alot of RD members used to go there years ago.

McD's was popular for awhile but I think it's whittled down to the ricers again.

I dunno about Saturday night meets, but a bunch of NISMO guys were meeting there as of last summer on Friday nights after about 9.

Those meets were comical. bunch of a-holes trying to show off. we went a few times years ago just to see but they almost always got shut down because people were doing burnouts and racing in the parking lot. funniest time was when I parked way in the corner away from everyone and the cops came and started handing out tickets to everyone else. the same night that Doug showed us that his jeep could clear a 3 foot tall row of bushes.
