My corolla has been getting like 27 mpg I put 15s with 205s on it and it hurt the gas mileage a lot, but it was worth it

meanwhile my rx-7 still gets infinite miles per gallon!

back to the traffic laws topic... I got clocked going 88 in a 55 and went to court, it was lowered to $50. MD traffic court FTW!

I got clocked going 87 in a 65 in Virginia and had to pay like $500 or something retarded and could have gone to jail... and now I'm still banned from driving there because I won't give them even more money to reinstate my license. Virginia BLOWS.

Alternatively in virginia, had I gone to court I wouldve gone to jail for 5 days (according to that guy davita that FDnewbie always reccomends) for doing 80 in a 55 and had an 800 dollar fine.

I agree the DC area sucks, but NOVA is worse then the MD side of DC.
It's hit or miss.

I got pulled over doing 75 in an 80, in the rain, through a Construction Zone that had signs plastered all over "Fines Doubled", whilst passing on the right and a VA state trooper pulled me over.

The dialogue:
Do you want the lecture or a ticket
I'll take the lecture if that's okay with you sir.
Get your head outta your ***!

He promptly walked back to his car and sped off. My passenger laughed his *** off.

Then there was the time I got caught doing 118 in a 50... On a military base. (My speedometer said 125) Cop had been following me for the past 10 or so miles too.

Dialogue:
(After the whole license and registration deal)
Do you have any other tickets I should know about?
Yes sir
What were you doing to get those?
Being a dumbass sir.
(Time passes, license is run, ticket is written)
I'm giving you this ticket because I'm being a dumbass.
Failure to obey highway sign?
Yeah. If you take it to court, I'll tell the judge exactly what sign you disobeyed, exactly where you were when you disobeyed it, for how long you disobeyed it, and by how much you disobeyed it... Pay the fine and slow the fu*k down!

At least VA police leave you in the car (Unless they're going to arrest you.) and aren't too terribly in your face.

When I got the huge pile of tickets in PG county, the officer told me to get outta the car, was all up in my face poking me telling me about how he could take me to jail and stuff. He was kinda a dick in court too. Came in late, out of uniform, had an attitude...

I'm fine. Gear lever is bent. I was sitting at a light and this lady who had been behind me for the last 3 miles just randomly ran over me. The worst part is that when she got out of her car she said "Oh no! This is the second time I've done this!"

I have only EVER had to get out my car twice and they happened in the same week.

First one was on Ft Meade by Security Police for not having a visible front plate (it was in the windshield)

Second was for peeling out from a light and getting up to 85 within a block or so of traffic. told him i was tuning the engine.

both times got off with a warning because they wanted to see under my hood.

the second cop was the one who asked when my car was going to be historic so i could remove the restrictions.

Ouch... is the O2 sensor alright? That sounds a lot worse than I'd expect.

Time for negative split?

My TII used to get a little less than that (between 12 and 13 mpg) and that was running pig rich plus its a TII. I would replace your O2 sensor, that's the only thing I can think of that would make your mileage that bad. You should be getting into the 20s at least.

BTW: I drove my RX-7 7.5 miles on Sunday first time it's moved in like 2 years... I'm happy. Ken drove it some too. It still needs a lot more tuning though.

Yep, needs more tuning, but it's good enough that you should be able to drive it *carefully* to Columbia so we don't have to keep going out to Damascus.

"carefully" means no boosting 24psi till the engine is warm.

Duuude! Aren't I allowed to miss you even if I knew you wouldn't be there?
But seriously, how's it going with the little one? You and the misses getting any sleep yet? I seem to remember the 1 month point was when it got a lot easier...
