first one was at our normal drag strip...me and jason had a TUNDRA roll out into the middle of the intersection when its red......it turns green and BOTH of us annihilate him (me in my toy truck.


later was coming home from noels....i demolished a V6 cougar.....TWICE.

About the kill story that Sean posed about the Tundra. . .

Sean's truck is an oldschool Tacoma Truck. This big V8 Tundra rolls up at the light, in the lane that ends after the light (A sure sign of raceage) and before the light changed, the Tundra had rolled into the middle of the intersection.

Sean and I owned that thing hardcore.

 

to be exact..its a 1992 superBASE model (the radio didnt even have a tape player)....2.4L 4banger (22R-E that was in celica GTS in '87) that puts out 120 HP at MOST at the flywheel...and its geared for TORQUE..not acceleration.

Speaking of cats, mine needs to go asap - we have removed all emisions related equipment, and the cat will be clogged as soon as we get my baby up an running - so i'm thinking, the day we get her running - go down to emisions to fail, then fill out the paper work for a wavier - then come home and i need a mid pipe (presilencer) so if you know where i can get one ... for not too much $ - let me know.

I think the waiver is for when you are "working" on the car still... not sure exactly.

Good luck getting that waiver. You have to show you paid $450 to try and get it to pass, including a new cat. And then you gotta pay AGAIN in 2 years. (At least around here)

full deal...you fail....you spend at least $450 on repairs. you cant get it fixed by last date....you come back and have them do a full visual inspection on emissions controll systems...ALL of them including EGR system. THEN you get the waiver...and you have to repeat every 2 years

so short hand...put a cat on it and pass it.

my engine caught fire today >_<.... my engine is fine, I think I just didn't tighten down the oil lines on my new turbo and it was leaking and exploding and stuff...... no fun

i think he just unbolted some other stuff so it would really go *b00m* next time he starts it :p

 

I was thinking and the guy I bought the turbo from washed it out with gasoline after he ported the waste gate... so I think that might have been one of the problems

yeah it works great.... when it's not on fire.
