I see all these Dodge Stratuses and Ford Tauruses and **** with government plates and CNG stamped on them... Hell, there are three at my college for the maintenance personel...

I just want Propane/CNG injectors that'll fir a standard Bosch O-ring style bung. Alls I have to do is chuck the stock fuel system, chuck the stock electronics, Megasquirt, Drop in a Fork Lift fuel tank, plumb it with stainless steel braided hose, and fab up a fuel rail. I make it sound so easy I'm ready to do it between class and work.

I will take out a chunk of RX-7 budget in order to propane convert the truck.

Doug, I personally know what it feels like to drop 15k into my rx7. But 15k of parts sitting in your garage? What possibly could you have that would add up to that type of coin? 14k fixing it? So you payed 14k to fix eveything back to stock to now put 15k worth of aftermarket parts on? Come on Doug.

Hey jason! I'm pretty sure that I know what's causing your IAT to go up so much when you're just sitting there idling. The part of the intake that you put the sensor in is right above the exhaust pipes. You're probably getting a HUGE amount of heat-soak.

I'd suggest moving it down the intake far enough that it's not directly over the header, and then lean out your idle a bit. I can't help this weekend, but I can help next week if you want.

I believe it. FD's are no bullshit. Everybody selling parts thinks they are sitting on a pot of ****** gold.

Oh, btw, I paid 3.49 to fill up the FC.... $$56.78...

Ugh. We are all

Holy **** Jason - how the hell did that happen?

ALSO

My car has now gone from "idling terribly" to "not idling and just turning off"

Crashdummy, Jesse and I were trying to find an ellusive vac leak that we belive to be the cause of this shaky idle

Like the inteligent person that i am, i forget to disconnect the batt and bump the UIM against the alternator and blow the main fuze - YAY

After replacing the fuze and after giving up in the darkness, we button the car back together, and now it won't idle. It starts up, and it will stay on if you hold it there, but let go and it will promptly shut off.

We are stumped

any ideas?

~ERIK

idle adjustment, coolant temp sensor (what was wrong with jason's gxl), air temp sensor, wiring to one or more of the sensors, vacuum leak (should I keep going?)

Aluminum Driveshaft-800
Chromoloy axles-550
Toelinks/trailing arms-600
Jimlab bushing kit-650
Tein Flex Coilovers-1400
Brembo big brake kit-2700
99spec rear brakes-1900
braces all around-700

add 500 for shipping total, and somewhere around 300-400 for taxes?
and the last one is my lil secret ><(still otw) plus add taxes/shipping on all that

Fixing ****:

Taking it to the wrong mechanic and paying him 65bucks an hour to figure out how my car works----7k around(popping on random vacuum hoses as they pop off for 8 months, cooling system revamp(all brand new stock) including radiator fan shroud(cost like 2300), all I can say is the ****** guy ripped me a new one

3k in body damage

and about 4k has gone to Ray, and he has fixed every problem I have had, and made my car alot better.

I'm also not including all new tires all the way around for inspection. That first mechanic I took it too sucked ***, I spent 2500 or so to get it to pass(fixing 2 bushings in the suspension, bleeding the brakes/new pads/other random stupid ****.

Owning an FD costs a shitload of money, especially if it was abused beforehand, everything on my car was stock, but had a new engine installed in 96? all the hoses were still 10 years old. but anyways ><

Wow dude. You need to learn more about your car and do the work yourself. It's gonna put you into bankruptcy if you keep spending that kind of money. Most parts are overpriced for the FD anyway... no reason to throw money away for labor too.

EDIT: And you should have at least gotten a reach-around if they charged you $2300 for a cooling system
